Well, my camera connection kit just arrived, while my iPad remains stuck in "Prepared for Shipment" status. My camera connection kit came via the same basic route as what appears most of the iPads are following.

I ordered both items on 3/11 at 1:15 AM PDT

For reference, it says it "shipped" on 3/12, but it didn't actually leave SHENZHEN until 3/14 (monday). It then bounced around Asia for a couple of days, making its way to Anchorage on 3/15. Held in Anchorage for about 24 hours, then off to Memphis, then DC, then delivery on the 17th.

At least for those of us on the East Coast, once it actually leaves the building, it's approximately a 4 day trek.

Hello guys. Well it's finally here. Ordered on the 11th arrived today and I could not be more happy. None of the issues that I've been hearing about on these boards are present on my iPad. Good luck with everybody waiting on their machine.

My iPad 2 (32 GB Black - Wifi) is 'On FedEx vehicule for Delivery' since 10:36am this morning (ET). It's now 3:23pm and still not received, even if it was at only 50 min drive from the FedEx Warehouse... It's longgggg Hope it will make it today!

What's strange is that my delivery Estimate date is tomorrow. My Smart Cover (Red-Leather) is suppose to be delivered today, but the last update was yesterday morning at 7:36am when it left MEMPHIS,TN (24h drive from destination!)

I'll probably have both in hands tomorrow for sure, maybe today

I dont know. But the first CS rep I spoke to, right after I ordered the ipad.. I think it was 6am PST when I called, "upgraded" me to priority overnight. Then the next CS said it didnt exist. Now this third one also says it doesnt exist. So maybe he does think its going to be upgraded. I did see that his post showed a $0.00 ipad cover, so who knows.

Update

After sitting as "prepared to ship" since Monday, I woke up this morning with a shipping notice est delivery on the 23rd. I ordered the 16g-Black-ATT 12:57am 3/11. I'm just glad it finally shipped. I've had the smart cover since Tuesday.

Was your estimated delivery date on fedex or on apple? My apple email says estimated delivery March 23, but fedex says March 22. Congrats

Yea I ordered at pretty much the exact same time as you and mine's supposed to get to TX tomorrow by 4:30, but my tracking hasn't updated since Hong Kong, sooo I'm kinda freaking out.

so heres what I am hoping for. There is a flight that left from Taiwan an is headed to anchorage that should be there today at 2:15 Alaska time. If our ipads got on it then it is possible that you will get yours tomorrow. Mine says that it isnt estimated until the 22nd though, so lets hope yours is the right one.

Dribs and Drabs

At 5:00 a.m CST March 11th, I ordered three items:

1. Apple TV: arrived Tuesday, March 15th
2. Black leather smart cover: arrived Thursday, March 17th
3. Black 3 2gb black iPad with Verizon 3G: shipped Thursday, March 17th for an estimated arrival of March 23rd.

When I ordered the iPad, the site said 3-5 business days to ship, and they used every single one of those days! Anyways, can't wait to get my hands on my first iPad!

So i guess the "Expedited Shipping" the rep said she gave me on my iPad was real because mine's say IP Direct Distribution but i doubt i will get it tomorrow.

I'll see what mine says when the container moves from its spot in Shenzhen having arrived too late for the cut-off today. The FedEx Rep I spoke with did use the words IP Distribution. I'll start being hopeful again - but I know still not before sometime next week.
