It appears if you make changes to your iPad pre order, Apple's computer robot will determine you are ordering too many iPads and cancel all your current and future orders within three days of your transaction.

Appealing to a human doesn't seem to help for if the human modifies your account and resubmits an order the robot will spot it and cancel it again in about three days.

Moral don't mess with your order if you expect an iPad and don't order more than two online.

That might be what Apple fixed this morning after complaints about their robot's heavy hand. "

I didn't make any changes to my order nor did I order more than 2 ?! :confused:
 
I hope this doesn't happen to me.. I ordered a 16gb and a 64gb with 2 covers. I'll be rally pissed if this happens.. I hope apple makes it right with everyone.. If not they should put in their system that you get the next available at the apple store before anyone else..

But what is weird is that I can only get that info from clicking on the order number on the email. When I log into my account it doesn't show any current orders. Anyone getting the same problem??

If you haven't received a cancellation notice yet, I am assuming you're fine. I ordered mine at 3:47 AM and haven't heard anything. In this case, no news is good news?
 
I also just checked my status and my cover are shipping out tonight and looks like I will get them tomorrow.. :D

I am still on hold with Apple Customer Support about this, the agent really doesn't know what to do and has been waiting on the line with me for a supervisor to chime in.

The agent did make an offer to give me $150 off my order but I really just want the order reinstated.

The agent now has taken my number and will call back when there is a resolution, hopefully within the hour.

Doing a search about this problem, I see it has happened before with the first generation of iPads. This is not acceptable, if this happened once and now happening again.

If I haven't received an email cancellation notice by now, would you say I'm in the clear? I'm getting a bit paranoid, to be honest.

My order was also cancelled, unreal. I'm on hold now too.

I just spoke with a customer service supervisor. He stated that they are aware of the issue and they are trying to figure everything out. He was very sincere and even gave me his direct line. He said that I should have a status update in 24-48 hours.
 
Usually Apple Ships Earlier

I have done several iPhone and now 2 iPad online orders. I have found that Apple usually beats their estimated delivery dates. Don't know if it's just how their system estimates order/demand or whether they like to under-promise and over-deliver.

Anyway, I would expect orders to start shipping out early next week. I've got an iPad 1, so no great rush.

Having said that, I do wish Apple would have allowed pre-orders for delivery on the 11th.
 
I was told they are escalating the canceled order problem and will be trying to remedy it over the next 24 - 48 hours. I was told to keep my eye on my cancelled order and if I don't see any changes by Monday to call them back.
