Last scan mine had left Anchorage en route to Louisville. So much for "express" delivery. Thanks UPS. Was hoping to get it today, but now I'm not even sure it will make it by tomorrow but I'm holding out hope.

I have an update:
I called Apple local store in NYC (5th Av) and indeed they received a shipment and i can come pick one up.
I ordered the black one online (16gb wifi). However by the time i got there, just 1 hr after i made the call, they ran out of the black one and only had a few white 16gb left. So i picked the white one. They have a bunch of 64 left (i think a lot).
So i wonder what to do with my online order. I am thinking maybe i can hold one to the white one until i receive the black. Do you think apple will give me a full refund if i return the white one within the 14 days?

Ordered a 32 GB 3G&WiFi on April 28th. Originally it said it would ship on May 12th and arrive on May 17th. Got an e-mail this morning saying it shipped this morning and should be here by May 16th! I know, only one day earlier but it's still exciting news. I don't know why in my first order it said it should take 3 business days to get here, but when they bumped it up it now takes 6? I'm hoping it will get here before then.
I'm 1 day behind u, ordered on the 4/29, but still is showing not shipped yet.

What model did you order? I ordered the 64GB 3G in black on 4/22 and shipping is still saying 5/19.
Along with the 64GB 3G model I bought, I also ordered a 32GB 3G black at same time (4/21) and shipping is still saying 5/19
Oh wow yah that's the exact same model I got. Maybe it has to do with our location? I'm in Canada.
It just went straight to shipped. It originally said May 12th would be the ship date but I received an e-mail this morning saying it had been shipped and UPS is showing it as in transit.

I'm getting so anxious waiting for my ipad2 to arrive. I spent two weeks calling the local apple stores and bestbuys trying to find one. Everytime I called, they had all just sold out. So I finally broke down and ordered one online, when apple said the shipping time was only a week! I ordered the 16GB Black, engraved, wi-fi/3g on 4/29/11. It says it will ship 5/13/11 and arrive 5/18/11. That's nearly 3 weeks from the time of ordering!!!! Hopefully it ships sooner!

So, how to I track it stage by stage on Syncreon's website?
On the Apple website, I have the following numbers:
A tracking number: "Tracking #: W*******************."
Order number;
Additional order number;
PO number;
Our delivery reference.
And, on the Syncreon's website I have to enter: "Sales Order number" and "Order number."
Which goes where?
It's shipping to the UK, BTW.
Ignore all of this; I've worked it out now - you can tell I have the mental capacity of a 6 year old.
My iPad's going from Hong Kong to LUXEMBOURG. I assume UPS, or some other company will pick it up there and take it to my house, in the UK.

For FedEx, express does appear to be more true to its name. For UPS, here's what their version of 2-3 business day "express" means in my experience:
- 3 days sightseeing in China. Unclear if the Great Wall was visited.
- Spent almost 24 hours (it seems, but hard to tell from time differences) getting from Hong Kong to Alaska for a flight that takes about 9 hours.
- Appears to be en route to Louisville from Anchorage for another 24+ hours for an otherwise 6 hour flight.
- Still no update beyone Anchorage (again, about 24 hours ago) and unclear when next scan will be. Maybe it wanted to stop and see Denali before heading to KY.
That's UPS' express! Good stuff.

Here's an update to my order. I called Apple on the morning of 05/08 to ask why my delivery date had slipped almost a full week. The operator told me that it was due to high demand, the carrier was having trouble keeping up with deliveries, etc. He then quickly offered to cover the cost of the Smart Cover I had also ordered. Very cool gesture, more than makes up for the delay, I'm a happy camper. So now I can just sit back and expect it by 05/17, right?
Well, very early this morning (05/09), I got an email from Apple saying my iPad had shipped via UPS with expected delivery 05/13. Latest UPS tracking currently shows "EPZ, China 05/09/2011 2:55 P.M. Departure Scan." No estimated delivery on UPS site. And I live in NJ for the curious.
Now I just hope I will be around when they attempt to deliver!

When I ordered the MacBook Air years ago, it was also shipped out of China, it did arrive one day later in NYC, well it's really 2 days due to the time zone difference.

My iPad is chilin out with urs somewhere in China munching on egg rolls. My tracking status shows the same. I have a delivery date for the 13th as well and I'm also in NJ
Out of curiosity what software version is everyone's ipad coming with these past couple of days???
