Aand indeed I am. Arrived 2 hours ago. Updated to 4.3.3, few apps loaded. Alas my Wi-Fi at work isn't playing ball so I can't set up a lot of what I need to (shuttersnitch etc, but so I shouldn't be playing with it when I'm meant to be working!) but so far loving it. Sod all light bleed too. Lucky indeed.

Finally shipped!!!

Well my status of "prepared for shipment" finally become shipped!!! I stayed at prepared for shipment from the 10th to the 11th. It shipped as of today the 12th. It wasn't supposed to ship until the 13th with a delivery of the 18th. Now FedEx says it will arrive on the 16th!!!!! As for now, it's in SHENZHEN CN. Counting down.......

For the ipad it originally said ship 16 and delivered 17. I got charged for the ipad this morning, now it says delivery 23, but I still didny get a email from apple about shipment of the ipad even though they charged me for it.

I was charged less than 2 days after I ordered mine...but I wonder if it is because I'm having it engraved??

I have the same dates except my card was not charged yet. I ordered on the 1st. 16blk wifi.

Exact same issue here ...I got a 32GB wifi...my card was charged last night AND the date changed from the 17th to 23rd

Hmmm....I don't think they would do that (put the money back in).

My account shows the typical $1 charge as part of Apple checking to make sure it is a valid account and then the $700+ right above it.

I don't want it back now (unless they're willing to ship the iPad without it!)

.....apple temporarily puts a hold charge on your account no matter what you order to verify the account and funds..this charge disappears in about 5 days - and then they charge you for real when the item ships.

EDIT: Sorry...it was a pre-authorization as stated above...sat on my account for a day or so and now the "withdrawl" was just removed from my account.

On the plus side...going to swing by my local store and see if they have one there so I can have it before my trips next week. If so, I'll just cancel my on-line order.

EDIT #2: Just cancelled my on-line order. A quick call to my local store and they have a "ton" of iPads...in particular, the 64gb, white, wifi model I want anyway!! SCORE!

I just talked to my bank, it's more on their side of things. Apple basically put in a notice of what they are taking so that's why my account got charged but they haven't collected it yet so that's how it now shows in my account again. So I'm good, everything went through, he just told me to make sure I don't spend what I'm not suppose to because they can collect it at any given time lol.
All I can do now is wait, hopefully time will fly for all of us, I sold my iPad 1st Gen to a friend so I've been without one for 2 months almost. Didn't actually think I would miss it that much.

Alright everyone I have been trying to read through the thread and find a shipping scenario similar to mine but so far haven't found one.. Here is this order in which things happened..

1. Order received email from Apple

2. Shipped email from Apple with tracking

3. Immediately upon receiving the shipping notice clicking the UPS tracking link stated it would be delivered on Friday May 13th before 10:30a.m. However here is what my tracking looks like as of today at 4:30p.m.

I am trying to get an ipad, went to apple store this morning stood in line and they only had 64gb white wifi . I am looking for 16gb wifi only black.

Do you think I should just order online or take my chances. If i order tonight or tomorrow when will I get it. If i do order online and also keep checking the store and if I get one at the store can i cancel the online order or return it to the store.

My estimated delivery date on the Apple site changed this evening from May 18 to May 13 (which is tomorrow). That's going to be one hell of an exciting day ... or a long day & weekend if it turns out to be a wrong guess ...
