I recently upgraded to 3.0b2 on my iPhone and so I thought the problem was it....but after talking to friends round here I see the problem is AT&T.
Here in Fort Jackson, SC we all had 5 bars Edge on base. All of a sudden since last week we've had 1-0 bars or no-service.
Myself and friends have called AT&T customer service and they reported no problems at first but after a trip to the local at&t store today I learned this...
They recently worked on the tower a mile and a half from here but on the screen its showing as work completed and the tower is green.
The Assistant Manager is getting more info but doesn't sound promising.
At one point he said "I don't know what to tell ya...".
I work and live on base and for the past week I have been unreachable.
I give it one week and I make the switch to T-Mobile where I could use their hotspot service using my wifi at home.
Really don't want to give up the iPhone though and don't think I should have to pay the disconnect fee
What say you?
