Anyone out there that had the connectivity issues with the XS or XS Max and now has a new Pro phone? Are the cellular and WiFi problems now gone with the new phones?

There was a huge thread last year with all the problems and I was one that purchased and returned 2 Max phones that were just horrible for connectivity. Now as the year went on, many said their phones got better and others said theirs still performed poorly.

Just curious how the new phones are doing.

I’d say go for it. No problems here

You know, I was wondering the same exact thing. I haven't seen the barrage of poor reception threads like last year at this time. Hopefully that's a good sign?

I had last years connectivity issues and had concerns about this years models but, my 11Pro is without issue so far. I took a chance and am glad I did. The overall experience with the 11Pro is well worth the upgrade to me.

Good to know, would you say your Pro is comparable signal wise to your other phone, or any better/worse? Just curious.

I went through a nightmare with my XS Max the last year. Miserable. Went back to a Qualcomm X for the past few weeks and it was perfect.

Decided to try the 11 Pro and test run for 14 days. Got it last night and it has been just as good connectivity wise as my X. *knock on wood*

Still early to say if it’s better or not but results look promising.

I went from a 7 Plus to the 11 Pro Max, and haven't had any connectivity issues at all. In fact my new phone gets better signal in a few marginal areas than my old one did.

I feel lucky to have skipped the XS/XR generation!

Oh gosh no worries- looking for all the feedback I can get.

I agree, I'm due for upgrade around Black Friday, so usually if there are any bugs/issues they're hopefully worked out by then. But I haven't seen the amount of issues reported with this series as the XS, so I guess that's a good sign. Luckily, my XS Max has been as good as, if not better than, any other phone I've had. (knock on wood) I can't wait to get the Pro Max.

TERRIBLE connection issues! I got a Pro Max. Most of the time it’s fine, except when I go to work. Then it constantly drops connection. I upgraded from an iPhone 6 which was fine. I also have a work iPhone 6s in my pocket, same carrier but no problems. I got a new sim and dfu restored the Pro Max to iOS 13.1 yesterday and still have issues. Worst part is, when this iPhone disconnects, I look down at my Apple Watch S4 and see that it still has 2-3 bars of cellular signal (it’s unpaired after the restore so remains on cellular and I can check coverage when the iPhone is having problems). I love the phone otherwise. I’m hoping this is just a dud phone but based on its performance everywhere else I doubt it.

Also, an improvement compared to my Qualcomm X, which came as a big surprise.

Same chips, same design and same problems.
Wrong. It's a different Intel modem than last year. Also, the antenna has been tweaked and shows better gain this year. Especially, on the Max models.

I have not noticed much of a difference between my previous Xs Max and my 11 Pro. So if you are in fringe areas, I doubt you will have any better luck.

I’ve had the dreaded xs max since last year. Can anyone comment on their connectivity on either iPhone 11 or iPhone Pro as to T Mobile? I was so hoping it would be better this year.

I went to Best Buy and checked signal strength vs the XS Max and my Pro Max. My pro Max was between 6-11 dB better.

Not on my phone. lol It drops my wifi connection under same conditions as my XS Max in my house. I do wish it was not. I would have maybe kept my Pro.

Also same speeds on LTE, but I never thought that was an issue for me. My issue was the Wifi. It makes a difference for me. Especially when it starts eating up my data for lte. My pixel 3a holds on to the wifi connection and has speeds of 100 plus mbps over the Iphone 11 Pro.

Incorrect information, what problems are you having

For a phone that is $900.00 plus over the Pixel 3a that pisses me off.
