So some feed back that y’all might want to know. I have not received a call today and the other person had to text me. Last night shortly before bed I lost signal 2 times. And I also have dropped two calls. 1 was unknown issue and other was I lost signal. I am going by Verizon now and swap SIM cards just to see

iPhone Pro Max left, iPhone 6s right

You’re joking right? The 11 Pro Max can’t establish a connection while the 6s has no issue.
No, what tekjunkie was implying, at least I think, is that the bars isn't an accurate measure of signal strength. Same as WiFi bars, you'd need to go into field test mode to check the actual signal levels the phone's are receiving.

I should clarify. The iPhone 11 Pro Max is cycling between 1 and 0 bars and unable to send/receive voice and data (otherwise it would have 4g next to the bars). The iPhone 6s has 2 bars, is connected to 4g and can send/receive voice and data happily. It doesn’t matter what signal strength it’s getting if it can’t connect and make use of it.

Totally get where you're coming from, just saying the amount of bars shown isn't a true indicator of strength.

Maybe you got a dud 11 Pro? Have you tried replacing it?

Well there could be another issue here. Too aggressive on the higher bands in prioritizing. I will confirm more hopefully later today as I head to the country.

Ugh! I got all excited until the last few posts...My XS sucks a monstrous one for RF ( compared to my 8+, and esp compared to the Note 9 - TMobile and ATT, although ATT is much better inside buildings )

This was one of the major reasons I returned the XS last year and switched to the 8+, but needed the convenience of dual-sim, so ended up buying it again recently!

I would go get the 11 Pro right now if this was even somewhat resolved, but it appears to be a fallacy :(

Was your Max okay and your new Pro is also okay? Or was your Max one of the ones with poor connectivity and your new phone also has poor connectivity?

Wherever the Xs Max worked the Pro works as well and wherever it didn’t work, the Pro doesn’t work either. Inside my house the Xs Max used to fluctuate between 1-2 bars of 4G and same with the Pro as well.

We need to know the numbers. The bars in no way correlate. I have witnessed this myself between phone generations.

Thinking about replacing it. Purchased from Apple online store so still have time. Wanted to do as much troubleshooting as possible before I resort to that. I’ve got a feeling it’s software related because was even worse before iOS 13.1

Just an update on my observations. The iPhone 6s has an RSRP of -119 and the iPhone 11 Pro Max, -112. So it’s got a better signal but still dropping out
