Make sure its compatible before you make the purchase.
also the Dell ultra sharp 2408wfp is really popular around here. You can get it on ebay brand new for like $400 - $500
Only if you're able to get one without banding issues

That one is nice. Is it an IPS panel? It seems to be getting much better reviews than the 2208WFP model, which I had been considering. One of the slams on the 2208 is that it uses a TN panel in an Ultrasharp.
Dell's model naming is confusing. They have the 2209WA Ultrasharp, the S2209W, and the E2209W.
And the other thing that annoys me about Dell. The 2209WA doesn't even show up under the home section.
Wow, I think that site is a bit over my head. Does anyone have a specific recommendation that they have had experience with?
My vote against the Dell 2209WA is that it is now $70 more this week vs. last week's $299 listing.
The ultrasharp series is nice because of their quality and pixel policy (one dead pixel warrants an exchange).
I just picked up an Apple 20" ACD. They are discontinued, but I absolutely love mine. I had a HP LP2475w for a few days but returned it simply because 24" was way too much real estate than I needed. 19" - 22" is the sweet spot for web browsing (in my opinion. many others here would disagree).
If you are not doing color critical work than you don't need an IPS monitor like others have stated. However, I was looking at old photos in Iphoto last night and thrilled I had spent the money on an IPS to enjoy them on.
