I found some good picture's of the Air Jacket for the 3G on the Apple Store. It looks nice but it's too bad that it doesn't compelety cover the chrome bezel . And it's a bit pricey .

I highly recommend the iFrogz Luxe, http://ifrogz.com/products.php?cat=432&wrap_overlay=4504|IP3GSoftTouch

It's as thin as the contour flick, but has that soft metallic feel and doesn't scratch as easily. It's only $19.99 and comes with a protective shield. I've tried a lot of cases. This is the only one that I have actually left on and will leave on.

Is the protective shield good? When applied does it hinder touch screen capability/response?

This is the best case in my opinion. Great protection, good fit. Came with a little stand for the phone and a plug to protect the phones data port.

when I got my 3G, a co-worker knew I was looking for a case, and came across this on another forum and forwarded it to me. He was REALLY disappointed I didn't order one, but with not being able to try one in person, and wanting a case right away, I passed on it. But agree, it looks like a great case.

I went with the white slider and really like it. It is tight as hell to put on, and no idea how it will ever come back off, but keeps the white iPhone look, adds only minimal bulk and has rubber bumpers on the inside and a little air space for bump absorption and air circulation.

I hate to have my iPhone covered with a case (it's so nice without one), but I reckon a case is handy in some situations, so I either want a super thin plastic case, or a nice easy to pocket silicon case, preferably with some type of screen protection.

Do you have any suggestions?

There have already been about 50 threads on this already, but I'll type it again...

InCase, available at the Apple Store, makes a rubber case that is much higher quality than all of the other brands. It is a strong, durable, [real] rubber case that protects your phone and feels great in your hand. I highly recommend these. You don't have to believe me - go to the Apple store and compare. You will see that it is better. Also, many magazines have also recommended the case.
and impossible to get in and out of your pocket...i returned this and got the slider, which is a much better case.

I use Ghost Armor on the Front and Back of my Iphone and I use the Revo Case as well so its basically a tank :) I Also use Ghost Armor on my macbook ITS FANTASTIC AND I LOVE IT

I would recommend the ifrogz luxe. Got it today! Minimalist design and has a decent screen protector. Love it. Have an incase slider too which is nice but the Luxe suits the phones styling that little bit better.
