iPad Recommends to safely clean an iPad

Use what apple stores use for theirs. I saw a bottle of cleaner sitting out yesterday and tried it on an iPad, worked perfectly. Big problem is I forgot what it was called 😱 you could always ask them though.

I think they use iKlear. I like cleaning it with that. Bottle is like 10 bucks and lasts quite a while.

I use the same thing to clean my iPads, iPhones and the iMac. A CLEAN microfiber towel and eyeglass lens cleaner. Works like a charm, doesn't damage the coatings and leaves a nice shine that lasts quite a while.

Rubbing alcohol has worked for all of my apple product without flaw. It's what is in all those marked up cleaners people sell. Even zeiss cleaning cloths use it. Although possibly diluted.

70% has never damaged any products including screens.

Not to diverge from the theme of this thread - but I'd think that washing those things in hot water would remove any/most chemicals.

If your basing your thoughts on how they still repel water - I think that's a matter of surface tension and the material used to make up the towels.

I claim no expertise on this...

I have washed them over and over and they still have something embedded in the fabric.

Pull one out of the bag and smell it. A clean rag should not smell like car chemicals.

Correct. I use a little of my own breath and it works awesome. No cleaners or detergents. Nothing rough or harsh. That's all.🙂
