Typing from my 1TB 12.9” M1 iPad with 16GB RAM. I did not even feel interested in the new one. They really need to overhaul the iPadOS and make me feel my M1 does not work for a fancy iPadOS to make me buy one. It is a lot of friction as I will also have to re-buy my magic keyboard

This is why I still have the 10.5” Pro from 2017…

I finally upgraded from my 2017 iPad Pro 10.5” and got Apple’s F&F discount from a family member employee. Yes, this 2024 11” iPad Pro is a huge leap in features.

1) Stacked OLED screen is above and beyond excellent quality!! Especially being used to the 2017 iPad Pro screen (which was first to get Promotion refresh)

2) Face ID works so much better than Touch ID for me! (I know, it’s been almost 7 years since I bought an iPad).

3) So much lighter in weight compared to the 10.5” pro

4) M4 allows Battery charge limit to be set at %80 for capacity preservation.

5) Much faster loading and running the same games (Minecraft, etc).

If you live near a Microcenter that still has them in stock, you can get a 11" 512GB wi-fi for $1079. I got my 13" 512 GB wi-fi for $1350 last Friday.
