In what way? Name another rivalry as intense as the Red Sox and Yankees in another sport.... Pats/Jets, no. Rangers/Bruins, no. Celtics/Knicks, no.
The blood lines run deep in the MLB, not really so in any other professional sport (between BOS and NYY).
Yankees fan, and if I had to choose another favorite team it'd have to be the Red Sox
I must say, that you seem to be pretty moderate if you can say that! Every Red Sox or Yankee fan I have ever seen was pretty much 100% one way and no way they would consider the other.
My wife is a diehard Red Sox fan, and converted me to "Red Sox Nation". I live in Michigan, and have the Tigers as my fall back team.

Considering that the NL West leaders are 3 games over .500, when no other division is under 13, they might as well not exist right now.

So we should all become Boston fans? I know that's how they think, but really this is one of only two cities in the country where the baseball fans don't just believe the world revolves around them, they're sure of it.

Yes they do have team colors, but if I want to put my infant in a pink outfit that has The Red Sox on it, do you think anyone is really going to think I'm not a true Red Sox fan? Please. Those pink rockies hats came out in full force for the playoffs last year... they've disappeared as fast as they appeared though.
