Calling venture capital 'loan sharks' dear me what absolute drivel..

Definitely not the appropriate term to use, but it's undeniable that investors' pressure to deliver profits can be a very strong driving force influencing executive decisions and sometimes not for the best.

This one's really easy. Delete your content, then delete your profile and move on with your life.
Reddit can force-open subs if they want, but if there's no useful content in there...

Water vapor.

Remove people that disagree with your authority. Is Reddit like, the internet North Korea? Is the CEO going to send them to a labor camp while he is it at?
Lol, the irony. Have you really never been banned & muted by subreddit because you disagreed with a certain topic? Yeah, Reddit is a cesspool of ultra authoritarian people. I say it’s worth the popcorn time.

Of course you have to return on an investment

But sitting there preaching about it from some obscure social network that is funded by Patreon (itself funded by a boatload of VC cash) is just laughable.

Real businesses can't run on handouts.

It’s how a natural human conversation would have flown at that point. He replied to an absurdity with another absurdity. Here is an example. For instance, you offer to sell me a Ford Fiesta for $100,000. I say, lol , can I trade in my Skoda Fabia for $55,000? That makes more sense to me.

Now would you say I am blackmailing you into buying my Skoda Fabia at an absurd valuation to get the Fiesta?
I did not say he was attempting to blackmail, only to obtain $10 million because anyone would. I would agree with what you are saying, had I not heard the recording, yes he released it, but I hear the pause, the tone of his voice. As someone who deals with people everyday admittedly not at such a level , my gut says he wanted the 10 million. It's all to do with the tone of his voice, the nervous laugh, the awkward pause. Nobody is condemning the man, I love Apollo, I am no fan of Reddit, but we should not delude ourselves, its just business. It's just my opinion.

All this blackout stuff is typical of the modern world, it is an empty vessel. Do something real! Delete your accounts, walk away from the site, if you feel so strongly on the matter. Else accept the new terms and conditions and move on. The numbers are too small to cause any kind of significant reaction, Reddit has the power.

"Reddit CEO Steve Huffman thinks the site's mods are too powerful. He said he plans to change the rules so users have the power to vote the moderators of subreddits out, in an interview with NBC on Thursday."

Now that is the most sensible thing he has said.
Technically users can now. The first Orville SR I joined had horrid mods. Someone made a new one, and 90% of the users migrated, and numbers for the first plummeted
