Or just search for Skype in the App Store after deleting it and install it again (which should install the new version). The best way to update is to delete your existing app, then go into the 'App Store' app, go to the updates section, click on the 'Purchased' section, click on 'not on this phone', scroll down to to 'Skype' and click install.
This will install the latest version.
I'm excited. Skype is the only way that I have to communicate some of my close friends. The iOS app has always been severely lacking, hopefully this greatly improves upon it.
Just tried it. Had to delete and reinstall the new version. But awesome! No weird delays like there were before. Much much faster.
Glad to hear that. Do you delete your conversation history from time to time? I figure that might help. The old app often froze when opening my best friend's conversation. I have never cleared it in like 8 months of use.
The sooner Microsoft gets over their hideous UI design, the better.
The flat one? The one that inspired Ivy?
Just grow up, bro.
Will it allow for reliable receiving of calls this time?
I tried to use Skype as a VoIP phone with an old iPhone, but it only received Skype calls if the phone was active with the Skype app in the foreground... lame.
I'm pretty sure most MS haters are probably hating them because it is (was?) fashionable...
Group chat (at least, audio) is coming to iOS 8 / Yosemite.
I'd love to use FT all the time, but the lack of cross-platform kills it. Apple will never budge on that, sadly.
"The item you tried to buy is no longer available"
How/why would Apple not allow it?UI definitely not iOS7...
Why Apple allowed this???
It seems like this update removed a few features from the app. Has anyone figured out how to look at the profile of a friend, delete a message, or edit a message?
How/why would Apple not allow it?
