Original 1st gen 2.0GHz MacBook Pro with 256MB VRAM, had its battery replaced 3 times, gonna hang onto it until it completely busts :)

I can't believe it hasn't shown any signs of slowdown in regular usage.

Surfing problem-free here :) What a piece of art! I've owned since April 20, 2007. Not a single visit to a Genius.

2.33GHZ MBP - 4GB RAM - 15" LCD

I've had this 2.16Ghz 15" machine for right at a year now. My biggest problem? I had to get a battery fixed and it was under warranty. That took a whole half hour out of my life.

Reading a lot of the stuff on here will make you think that Packard Bell did a stock buyout of Apple a couple of years ago and has taken over the company. But I guess anecdotal evidence to prove a broad point is The American Way!

I can't be too much happier with this thing except for the wireless glitch that comes and goes. At times I have to load pages 3 or 4 times until the page actually loads. Restarting seems to do something. I think it's a bug in 10.5.2.

People just need to judge their overall experience instead of one little thing here and there. People on the iPhone board are HORRIBLE about that. The best mobile phone on the market and it's all "when is 3G coming? when will they put MMS on there?" blah blah blah blah blaaaaaah. I've got serious issues with a few things (I need to sync documents!) but I don't rant about it.

The one thing my MBP really is lacking is a Blu-ray drive. I love the ol' HandBrake and I've got about 10 or so movies that I only own on Blu-ray that would love to take a trip with me.

I be luvvin my MBP! Had it since Feb this year, will never go back to Windoze. I'm a real happy camper.

Folks who complain that their MBP won't do this, or won't do that....you know, the whiners.... well, many of 'em don't know how to take care of a computer, are probbly too stoopid to own a one anyway!:apple::apple::apple:

Owned my MBP since Jan and it's worked perfect. It's done everything my old PC would do and more. Thus far i have not had any problems with it. I will buy another when the time come.

I too am never going back to a PC.

I've had mine since March, and I haven't had any problems at all. It is the best computer I have ever purchased. Just switched from Windows to Mac and it was way too easy. Leopard is flippin' fantastic.

I got a 2.5GHz 15" MBP the day the new Penryns came out, and I've been very happy with it. I've had no display problems so far. It is my first Apple since my parents bought an Apple ][+ in the 80's. I used Macs during my college days of the late 80's, too, but this is the first Mac I've ever owned.

Before I bought a Mac I experimented with Ubuntu 7.10 on my PC. While it worked just fine, there were a few apps that I just had to have that could run natively on my chosen OS (QuickBooks and Slingplayer are the main ones). I didn't want to have to VM Windows for them. Since there were Mac versions of those apps I could easily switch to a Mac, and so I did. Now, other than some games, I have no need for Windows. A few of the games I have work fine in Crossover Games, so I play them that way and Boot Camp for the ones that don't.

I also bought a 500GB Time Capsule and my first iPod (4GB Nano) in the few weeks after getting my Mac. The TC was planned (even if I didn't end up with a Mac), but the iPod was not. When my Treo 680 started acting up playing music I decided to go for a dedicated music player. I picked iPod because I knew it would be easier to use with the Mac. Creative Zen was my rejected option. I'm very happy with both choices.

Someday I'll get my wife to switch to a Mac, though she may end up using Linux instead. She doesn't have any specific apps that don't exist in Linux, so it would suit her needs just fine. Her PC works just fine for now, though, so there no Mac in her immediate future.
