reduced resell value on iPad replaced at genius bar?

I've never sold an iPad or iPhone before upgrading to a new one so from your experience is the resell value reduced if I have my iPad replaced at the genius bar at some point so that the IMEI on the original box and iPad don't match? I'm intending to package my Apple products in the original boxes I bought them in when selling them to upgrade to the next gen.

Simply have apple print you out a receipt of replacement that shows the old and new IMEI #'s and your good to go!

Also most people just want a box - and don't care about the imei number on the box, from my experience anyway.

you can get a new receipt it will help to show if the product is under warranty.
