If it were "esoteric" Apple still would not have a MacBook Pro. Also, I went to the Apple Store in Bellevue, tried it out a few times before deciding on the 13 inch. Major reviews have concluded the keyboard on the MacBook is "Meh". This is coming from Arstechnica, The Verge, Macworld. I will take their credibility and pragmatism over your fanboyism any day.

Some people want a real keyboard. For those who don't, the iPad is fine.
You can actually get a 'real' keyboard for the IPP. I use it everyday.
