Pricey? Ok.

Have a look at the Apple iPhone 13‌ mini, considering it hasn’t had as many faults nor buyers remorse enough to meet the threshold to offer refurbished model yet.

Us iPhone 13‌ mini owners really LOVE our iPhone ;)

I think it's more that they don't sell enough 13 minis to have excess inventory vs holding devices back for replacements.

And I mean no disrespect - it's just not a popular device.

The iPhone 13 mini is solid with smaller notch, double the internal storage, and longer battery life over the 12 mini. However 6 grams heavier.

I'd say about 1/3 of the people I know have a mini. Some of the others with a regular 13 actually prefer the mini when they feel mine, they just didn't know about it, because the sales people never try to sell them.

12 and 13 gen are very good value. My wife and I are carrying now Pro Max 13s, son uses Pro Max 11 and daughter Mini 12. All have great performance.

Seems like there's a lot of misconception of Apple refurbished due to the crappy "refurbished" done by every other companies.

Why many here consider Apple refurbished to be great, sometimes even preferable than new?
a. Refurbished means the product essentially went a second round of QC. As many have experienced here, even brand new Apple product from factory sometimes have QC issues.
b. It is essentially new. It has new battery, new casing, full set of new accessories, and full warranty. You can even buy Applecare for it. The only difference is it's in a white box.
c. It's still cheaper than Apple's MSRP, and you're buying straight from Apple, not reseller. Not sure why saving money is considered to be not a good deal by some here.

The only times you want buy brand new from Apple is if the product is not yet available from refurbished section, or you like the retail boxes. Personally, I'd rather take the savings.

What game? You don't have to trade a phone in order to buy another. Also, I wouldn't call the refurbished phones that close to original MSRP. For example, the original 2021 MSRP of a 128GB iPhone 13 was $829 and you can get the same phone refurbished for $619 or 25% less. It's 15% less than the current reduced MSRP.

A refurbished iPhone comes with a new battery, new outer shell, genuine Apple replacement parts (as needed), and a same-as-new 1 year warranty. If someone is looking to get an iPhone 13 through Apple, there's little advantage to going new versus certified refurbished.
15% off a nearly 2-year old phone, which is refurbished, is a good deal to you?

What would you consider a "good deal" on an Apple certified refurbished 128GB iPhone 13, for example?

$110 off current MSRP and $210 off original MSRP doesn't seem too bad since you are essentially getting a new phone. If someone is looking to buy an iPhone 13 through Apple, what's the advantage of buying new over certified refurbished? What are they getting for the extra $110 (or more depending on phone)?

Apple certified refurbished iPhones can be less than comparable ones from companies like Amazon ("Renewed Premium"), Gazelle ("Excellent Condition"), etc.

Because they’re essentially new but in a white box. The consumables, aka the battery is brand new, and you have full warranty as well.
I think there might be an issue where some folks see other components beyond the battery as consumables. No thermal wear and tear. **edit also lightening port wear, button wear, etc...**I'm not of this camp but I do think its a valid perspective.
