I feel like AMC has created a good balance. I mean how many folks actually go see more than 3 movies a week consistently. Well outside of reviewers but they probably aren’t paying for their tickets anyway. And if I’m reading it correctly you get some cash rewards etc for your concessions which many folks probably love.

It was certainly a smarter move than movie pass trying to do a movie a day
I was real happy that AMC started their own subscription service because they’re not gonna go back on their word like MoviePass did. So I can rely on AMC and their terms not changing out of nowhere.

I’ve been a subscriber for several months now and I’ve only seen two movies the entire time. So they’re totally making money off me.

I’ve heard universities also have subscription services where you pay for housing, food, health care and education all in a bundle for a monthly cost. You don’t even have to pay for it while using the service as long as you’re enrolled in the 12-hour credit tier and you have 20 years to pay it off. It’s crazy, but you pretty much have to have it nowadays just like a Netflix subscription. MacRumors should do a story on that! I hear it’s popular with that extremely important 18-24 year old demographic.
They had that at my university for freshmen. It was nice for those who didn't mind eating at the same few places every day, but you were free to use something else. I don't get how Netflix is comparable; I never had a subscription.

This is solely unlimited. Wanna see 3 movies a day then do it again the next day? Do it. Totally worth $24 a month.

Yeah, but there aren't really enough good movies out any given time that I could imagine myself using this all that often. I wouldn't see a film I wasn't interested in just for the sake of going to the movies.

Just checked how much money I spent at cinemas in the last year... it was $0. And the year before that too. Moviegoing is on the decline for me. Would rather wait for the iTunes movie and rent then do a friends movie night. Cheaper. Comfortable. Duchebag free environment.

Wonder how many of the people complaining about movie subscriptions make monthly payments on their iPhone....

Then Apple Music... and Netflix... and....

Finally! I have two Regals near me and no AMC's, so I can finally ditch annoying MoviePass unless I want to go to a non-Regal theater.

Price comes out to two tickets per month. If you think people don’t spend that on movies each month you are crazy. Endgame didn’t gross 800+ million in the US alone because ppl weren’t seeing movies.

$18 or even $24 a month for Unlimited movies besides the other benefits is extremely worth it. If you see at least 2 movies in theatres a month ppl will jump at this.

What’s the purposes of watching movies you don’t want to see? Simply to get your moneys worth? That’s silly.

I read reviews and look at movie trailers, but I still can't always predict when a movie will be a winner or a loser. I skip the movies that I know aren't worth my time, even if getting in would be free with my A-list membership, but I take a chance on some movies that I wouldn't bother with if I was paying for each admission. Sometimes I hit the jackpot, with a movie I really like. Sometimes not.

I wish AMC offered a bit more variety, with more independent films mixed in with the studio issues, and I think they're starting to do that.

I think this is a great idea for the theaters.

The theater plays the movie whether there's 2 people in the auditorium or 200 people in the auditorium.

So if these subscription plans get people into the theater... they're more likely to buy sodas and popcorn.
