Received a new work MacBook at the beginning of March, but the last few days I'm getting regular total freezes and shutting down/kernel panics. I've had two in 45 mins this morning.

I've got a suspicion it might be Safari, as it's happened both times whilst browsing (decided not to run any other other applications the second time apart from Outlook, as I had a hunch it was Safari after the first freeze). Safari has been my main browser for years, but it seems shocking now.

This is my machine:

Model Name: MacBook Pro
Model Identifier: MacBookPro11,4
Processor Name: Intel Core i7
Processor Speed: 2.2 GHz
Number of Processors: 1
Total Number of Cores: 4
L2 Cache (per Core): 256 KB
L3 Cache: 6 MB
Memory: 16 GB
Boot ROM Version: MBP114.0172.B09
SMC Version (system): 2.29f24
Serial Number (system): C2QQWA66G8WN
Hardware UUID: 18D3DADB-68B0-551A-ABDD-751ECB256FED

Can anybody decipher any of this from the Problem Report?

The problem you're having seems to be pretty common. In this forum, there's:
https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...an-10-11-4-system-wide-safari-freeze.1963711/

In the MBP forum, there's:
https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/computer-keeps-shutting-off-what-to-do.1966413/

In that thread, the OP and I have had similar issues in terms of what was reported in the kernel panic report. Your report looks similar. There is probably a root cause (or set of root causes) but the symptoms and solution, if any, seems to depend on the computer and probably more specifically, the GPU involved. I have an HD4000 - you and the OP for the linked thread above use an HD5000-family GPU with the HD5000 driver. What has helped for us was:

If you are using Flash:
1) Make sure you have the latest update.
2) Disable Flash, if you don't need it. After every update, the Flash plugin will be re-enabled. I use Safari and Firefox. The Flash plugin seems to cause more issues for Safari than Firefox. If you're using multiple browsers, disable it in Safari first.
3) If you have to use Flash and kernel panics are still happening, try disabling hardware acceleration in Flash.
4) (I haven't put this in the other thread yet.) There seem to be particular sites that can cause the kernel panic. I'm finding that Yahoo Mail seems to cause a problem (even without Flash). The Yahoo home page may cause a slowdown or a freeze if you are using Flash. I think this may be due to the timers used to refresh content.

If you don't know how to do #2 or #3, go to the link above. If these don't help, you may need to use another browser, at least until the problem is fixed. I know the first thread I listed is long, but there have been other suggestions there if you're still having problems.
