Gotta love people who pay top dollar for used up broken things.I sold mine a few years ago and got more than I paid for it, even though 3 of the 4 batteries held no power.
Must‘ve been a collector.
Not at all. That's about what you'd pay right now for a quality set of Japanese-built Eneloops and a charger. The batteries take a very solid charge, have a great shelf life, and are good for tons of cycles.I never even knew Apple had a battery charger. But, $29 for a AA charger + 6 AA-batteries sounds like Apple pricing.
I have several of these and they were actually cheaper than competing kits.I never even knew Apple had a battery charger. But, $29 for a AA charger + 6 AA-batteries sounds like Apple pricing.
Same! Still use it as well for my Magic Mouse…no need to throw it out if it is working.Still have it, and even have the 4 batteries that I bought with it.
Yep, my ATV3 is only the second ATV I've owned, and it still has a place next to the "home theater" setup in the house, such as it is. Definitely getting on a bit, but we still use it for Netflix/Prime, the occasional iTunes rental, and streaming music to the amp. We just don't use our 1080p TV enough to really justify a new ATV, no matter how cheap they are, or how many things it does.My receiver doesn't do sound through HDMI, so ATV3 is great with a separate optical audio port.
Shame they took that away in all the subsequent versions. But it is getting on now, especially software wise...
I never knew they made a battery charger, especially for AA batteries.I totally forgot Apple made a battery charger
And if history went in the other direction people would complain that they used to be able to charge with lightning and now Apple is making them buy extra parts to maximize profits...Replaceable rechargeable batteries? Apple would never stand for such a thing today. It's all about glued together, unserviceable and disposable to maximize profits.
The sight of big packs of throwaway batteries is very depressing to see.
I still use my AA Battery Charger. although, I cannot locate two of the batteries.
lol got rid of those years ago. They're probably in that old-style Magic Mouse or Apple Wireless Keyboard you have sitting in a box or drawer somewhere.
