This is my fourth time getting Apple product on the launch day and consistently, my card was charged when the item was shipped so I am counting on getting my watch on 4/24/15.

I see a lot of people getting their hopes up, and rightly so they are all excited, we all are. I just wanted to bring it down a level though so your not super disappointed if it doesn't' arrive Friday.

Nope, there's nothing wrong with being disappointed if it doesn't arrive at the beginning of the window.

Your being charged for the shipping window, not because your going to get it on Friday. Keep fingers crossed still, and I hope we all get ours on Friday, but lets not rely too much on it :)

No, you're being charged because the device itself is ready to ship, and shipment is imminent. Apple is not going to charge you for an Apple Watch that they aren't about to ship. Especially not one that won't even be shipped for a week or more.

Pretty much everyone who has been charged by now will receive it on Friday, with a few people getting them on Saturday or Monday due to normal shipping issues. I would be amazed if anyone who has been charged by now doesn't receive it by next Friday, except with extreme mitigating circumstances.

I will be getting that watch on Friday..no dissapointment expected whatsoever.

There I said it.

According to UPS a lot of us are due for receiving on Friday. Good luck everyone!

I'm happy for you and all of the other people getting their watches on launch day! Until now, I've always received my Apple pre orders on launch day.
I ordered my 38" sport gray with black band about 3:03 EST but only made it into the May 14 - May 27 delivery window. I understand the whole popularity/demand thing so I'll just be happy whenever mine arrives

Remember guys, your being charged for the window, not Friday.

At the time, that's what the shipping window led us to assume.

Ok "assume". That was a misleading statement, and you spoke as if you knew what you were talking about, but you were actually just "assuming". And as for that statement, it's what it led YOU to assume. It's interesting that you said it led "US" to assume, with you talking as if it wasn't just you here making that statement. If you will notice, no one else in this thread made the same assumption as you, and then stated the assumption like they knew this was the case.

I apologize in advance for sounding gruff, but it actually hurts the thread when people speak with a certainty, when they don't really know something for sure.

There was a window, you expect us to ignore that? At the time you WERE being charged for said window because nobody knew for certain if we would get them for Friday, as a matter of fact I think there's still people who are unsure now, all because of again, said shipping window. So yes you were sounding gruff, needlessly gruff. People don't need written confirmation from an inside source to prove common sense.

We could still get them Friday. Plenty of iPhones were charged Thursday and delivered the next day.

Say what you want but if I don't get my :03 confirmed watch on launch day =FAIL!

See this is why there is a window, so it's not =FAIL!

Apple are playing it safe.

There is no dispute as to whether there was an initial window. The issue was that you made a statement, "Your being charged for the shipping window, not because your going to get it on Friday". Do YOU have personal info to know that being charged now doesn't mean that we are getting it Friday? Or is this just an "assumption", as you've already admitted? If it's an assumption, it would have been better to say that initially, than to act like you knew for sure. Doing it this way makes some people take what you are saying as if it's confirmed info, when it is just truly the opinion of yours. Opinions are fine and great, but it's better to make it clear that it is an opinion, not a fact or confirmed info.

Yes my wording could of been optimised a little granted, however I am pretty sure you caught my drift, and that I wasn't ruling out a Friday delivery completely. You obviously have a recurring chip on your shoulder that forced you to jump down my throat.

No chip on my shoulder, just wanted the misinformation that you posted as fact to be clarified to as an opinion. No worries

Feel bad for those that won't be getting the watch tomorrow that convinced themselves they definitely would despite the 2 week window Apple provided. I am disappointed I won't be myself but knew Apple didn't provide the window for no reason so am not blindsided by the delay. I know that many people will receive the watch tomorrow and am happy for them!

seems everyone except for space grey sport and SS models will be getting their watches tomorrow. Apple obviously has a supply shortage of the space grey watches and very high demand, and there could have been a manufacturing issue that is also causing the delay and that's why Apple gave the 2 week window from the get go.

Don't really understand why people are complaining about later orders being shipped before theirs when it's pretty obvious that the people who ordered right away and haven't gotten shipment notifications are all space grey watches.

What do you want Apple to do? hold all orders made after yours even though they have models in stock just because you ordered first? makes no sense...

They are doing their best to get as many peoples watches out as fast as possible.
