i'm having trouble getting the ical icons to work... every time i start it, it went back to the original ical icon, with the current date on there, you know... how do i change that?

there would be another icon that needs changing within the ical app i think and it will need to have no date on it but dont hold me to that

Inside the app package, there's another icon called App-empty.icns. Replace that with the icns file of your choice and the icon will stay that way, albeit with the date overlayed on it. I did it and it worked just fine.
