So...good news...we can have an event now for showing the new airpods pro , the new macbook pro and maybe that tracking device...since Apple also have 1 hour event...this can fill that

I was thinking the same thing. Apple has an hour, maybe an hour and a half to talk about...

New MBP
New AirPods
Apple TV+
New Apple TV
Refreshed iPad Pro?
iMac Redesign?

There’s definitely things to discuss.

Cue the parade of obligatory elitist headphone owner’s, “No thanks, I’ll stick to my *insert brand name* headphones instead”

Lmao it happens like clockwork. It’s amazing.

I don’t think I’ll buy AirPods again when my week 1 generation 1 finally kick the bucket.

I love them, but I wish i could change the battery.

I understand that something that small it would be an impossible ask. And that’s fine. I won’t knock that from an environmental perspective, they are so tiny and they do seem to last 3 years at least so far, they aren’t that wasteful at all.

But from a personal finance perspective. I’m going to shift to bulkier over the head wireless headphones that have a serviceable battery so I can keep them running for maybe double that time.

There doesn’t seem to any common theme connecting the products. Apple might just decide to do a silent update this time round. Certainly wouldn’t be the first time.

Or you can pay a little more to have Apple change battery for your AirPods. No need to throw it away.

If these can be worn comfortably while sleeping and the noise cancellation works well, they’ll be an instant buy for me!

It took Apple over 2 years to introduce the 2nd gen Airpods which were just released in March and now they are going to release a 3rd gen? Thats less that 7 months - I just purchased my 2nd gen 2 months ago..

Noise cancellation would be an awesome feature but I'll hold off and see what Apple includes in the 4th gen

It's a different product, though. It's sort of like adding the iMac Pro alongside the iMac, for example.

I’m very interested in these. I use AirPods constantly - an hour a day at the gym, walking to and from meetings, I use them to take phone calls hands free. Several hours a day of use. Well worth the money for me if they have noise cancelling and better battery life. I got my Gen 1 pair on release day and although they still work perfectly, the battery life is noticeably degrading after almost 3 years of heavy use.

I’m pretty dumb.

But not dumb enough to buy AirPods a second time, when they’ll be WORTHLESS in a year or two when the battery dies.

wired, or replaceable battery from now on

period

Pro branding on earbuds, Apple? Really? Are you really gonna water out the Pro branding THAT much? ...
I'll wait for the Pro Pro, or 2xPro, or Elite edition then, cause I'm sure it's right around the corner.

I have a set of amazing Sony headphones that are 28 years old.

Apple and their planned obsolescence behavior is borderline criminal activity.

I used my 1st gen for 2 years and they were still ok after 2 years. Maybe half of the battery left, which is definitely enough for normal commuting.

Those 28 years old headphones weren't wireless. Don't compare apples and oranges.

No thanks. I’ll stick with the cheapest airpods I can get. It’s merely a better replacement for the corded EarPods. More convenient.
