By then OLED is probably going to be bog standard on laptops. And most panels are high quality in the bigger companies laptops anyhow.

Anyone could predict this.

The point of an iPad mini is to be mini, not nearly the same size as the original iPad screen.
I do get what you’re saying and I love the size of my mini, but I do think they’d likely increase the size overall by a small amount and reduce the bezel. Think of it this way, the iPhone 6 Plus was the largest phone and had a 5.5 sceeen, but the iPhone 12 mini was a 5.8 screen and nearer the size of the normal iPhone 6. So I’m not too mad about this as it’s still a mini device in comparison to the rest of the lineup / industry.

Ladies and gentleman, it's officlal, the OLED revolution has now begun!
It began in 2011 (yes, 2011):

Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, World’s First Mobile Tablet Featuring Super AMOLED Plus Display

on September 1, 2011

And 16 years later, Apple can celebrate that they've caught up with Samsung (and everyone else).

That secret MicroLED lab in Taiwan is so secret that Apple has been trying to find it for over a decade 🫥
First go to the secret AppleCar facility, and take four lefts in a row. There you are!

Depends whether you think OLED is good or bad. To me, this means I should refresh my MBP before it launches with the OLED crap.
Same. iPhones have been giving me headaches for years. So glad I bought a 2022 iPad Pro so I could get the last good model before they make it OLED.

I'll be in the market for a new MBP next year, most likely. I really hope I can make my current one last until the final LCD 14" drops.

This title should be:

Apple plans to bring PWM and displays that are NOT flicker-free to 9 devices by 2027.

This is terrible. This is a step backwards. Who thought we would have to worry about flickering displays today? They are bad for your eyes.
Just wait before you judge. The company has nothing to announce today!

Every OLED display they have for sale today (or has been for sale in the past 7 years) uses PWM and is not flicker-free. Why should we expect their new products to be any different?

A long time before all these devices shift to OLED. Looking forward to seeing iPad Pro refresh with OLED display.
