So true but… Even while on "vacation" I need to answer phone so turning off isn't an option for me. Sure would be f'n nice to turn it off for a couple days though lol! Now if I have no reception… Good idea thanks:p Might have to change to Sprint:eek:

Hey, that's my usage LOL.

It's real...want me do it again?

Let me try to remember what I did...

listening to music - 8 hours
playing games - 2 hours
phone calls - 1 hour
accessing apps store - 1 hour
misc stuff - 2 hours

As for standby mode - i lose about 1% every 2-3 hours.
My wifi is off
icloud is off
i don't use email
ping is off
location is off

I'm not on airplane mode.

It's nothing special guys...I do a lot of listening to my music in my car. I bet you guys can get a lot of usage if you play your music.

I can probably get 24 hours of usage if I just play my music more and not access the apps store and not play games.., etc.

All these numbers are based on how each person use their phone. I listen to my music more often so that's why you see a high usage. I'm sure all of you can get the same number too.

I think it may be possible. The best I've ever gotten is 8hrs 26mins usage and 5 days 17 hours standby. This was on iPhone 4 with iOS4 with 3G switched off.

This is iPhone 4, with iOS4, and 3G turned ON.

My girlfriend is getting the same as this with iOS5

by the way, I apologize that I don't live in this "real" world that you speak of :(

I'm sorry that I don't text every hour, check my email every hour, browsing on the phone every hour, talking on the phone every hour, etc.

I do enjoy listening to my music more than I use it for other activities.

Right. But I meant that there is no way this is "real world" usage.

Remember you can easily get 20 plus hours by playing music with screen off.

I've done 12 hours with music and 3 days standby.

Music uses the least amount of battery.

Will post here as well as in the other thread you commented in. Using my phone as a phone with no airplane mode my 4S gets 2.5 days standby and 9hrs usage, consistently. Just because some of us have 4S that are working right doesn't mean you should create a new thread to try and make someone look stupid!

I kinda took exception to the fact you created a new thread out of this when you made your point in another one.

Yes definitely possible

I'm a heavy user with most things turned on, using location based reminders, bluetooth pairing, several push email accounts, photo stream usage etc i got 27 hours and 7 hours of usage.

Thats ok, but my wife who is a light user and puts the phone in airplane mode overnight and listens to music like this with the screen off is on her 3rd day of usage now. I just asked her and she has 35% left still. Would be interested to see her stats when she gets back from work.

This is from another thread

Is this kind of battery life even possible? In comparison, attached is my usage :(

It's possible, but I think it's a bug. I should've taken a screenshot of my phone yesterday before I charged.

It was reporting 17 hrs usage and 1.5 day standby. I knew when I saw it that it wasn't true. I still had 32% battery. And I all all settings on. There could've been something in the background that was running and continued accumulating usage...

So yeah, that picture is probably true. But it's not accurate.

What happens if you charge your phone but not charge it to 100%? I sometimes just plug it in for 30 minutes before I head out, and it will charge maybe 20%, that way you could get a lot of usage since the last FULL charge.

It would state under the usage that the phone has been plugged in since last full charge. Or something like that.

This is so silly. Everyone's iPhone 4 has the same battery. Everyone's iPhone 4S has the same battery. Yeah, if you listen to the iPod for 24 hours with airplane mode enabled and the screen off you'll rack up a lot of usage.

Correct. It states "iPhone has been plugged in since the last full charge" between Standby and Cellular Usage if it's been plugged into power.

I just charged my phone last night and here is my result.

Like I was saying before, I play a lot of music on phone when I'm driving or jogging. I have seen people posting 24 hours of usage so it's nothing special. If I sit here and surf the net, play games, check email every 10 minutes, etc...then I'll have a shorter usage.

This usage is my usual daily habit with my iphone....no fake or exaggeration...no reason to. I'm not sure why this thread was even started...I was only sharing my daily usage screenshot on another thread and then I got criticize by the OP for faking it. wow...pretty sad I admit.
