just opened it... its perfect.. no yellow screen or loose silent switch... so far so good.... Slapped an Power Support anti-glare screen protector on it and put it in an otterbox defender case.:D

Going to buy another iphone 3GS tomorrow at apple for the gf... just wondering if it would be weird if I told the apple sales person to get me an iphone with the newest build week available? Would they even know what i'm talking about? Last iphone I got at this apple store was a 926.. so I'm hoping for anything over that. Just thinking that maybe the kinks that were affecting the earlier week iphone 3GS (yellow screen) have been worked out with the newer build week iphones.

I bought my iPhone 3 weeks ago and got a week 920, do you think I should return it? (jokes!)

Seriously, it seem absolutely perfect to me. I have no point of comparison for this yellow screen issue, so can't really comment on that other than to say that I've certainly not noticed any problems.

This is like those over-clockers who try to get a good "stepping."

Don't kid yourself. They're all the same.

I guess its luck of the draw! Im just overly paranoid!

Mine is a 3GS 926. And i have had many issues with the touch screen not responding. i kinda shake the phone or put it to sleep and then wake it up then it responds like normal. Should i take mine back to the apple store?

I would! You shouldn't have to put up with a defective device! Get them to swap it out! If they don't and your still within the return period just return it and wait the 72hr period for your eligiblity to reset and go get a new one!
