Hi all... I'm finally getting ready to pull the trigger on a MacBook Pro. It would be the first Mac I'd own myself, although I've used them for 10+ years.

After reading all this rumor talk, now I'm thinking I might wait and see if upgrades are in the works. I'm really needing one though, so the best I can hold off might just be a few weeks. How do you know when hope is lost and it's time to go ahead and buy one? lol... I guess I'll just keep tracking this thread!

I really wish Apple wasn't so secretive about their releases. I'm seriously considering a MBP, but don't want to do anything until I know for sure if they are going to upgrade them or drop the prices on the current models.

The MacBook Pro has only fairly recently had its upgrade and price drop, so it's highly unlikely that it will get another update until early next year.

The current rumours are for iMacs, Mac Minis, and MacBooks (non-Pro) to next be updated.
