Pretty sure the shipping address has to match the credit card address.

:apple:

When I pre-ordered the iPhone 5 for my wife and I we wanted to have them shipped to her salon so that she could sign for them. I was told by Apple Customer Service that the shipping address had to match the billing address, so you are correct.

To solve the problem I temporarily changed our bank account address to the salon's address. It doesn't sound like this will work for the OP. I'm ok with that :)

do what you got to do bro, don't listen to anyone here, money is money some people are just mad they won't have it the first day due to people buying and reselling, big whoop.

You are correct sir! I can understand why they do this but it always makes me a bit nervous when Fed-Ex leaves my new shiny iPhone on the front porch waiting for me to get home. It's definitely going to be a leave work early day! ;)

Am I the only one that was able to get my phone shipped to a different address other than my billing address? I got mine shipped to my parents store since delivery time is earlier for businesses.

While I hate eBay buyer scammers. Here's hoping that many scalpers get screwed over with charge backs.

It may have worked without me changing the address, but I didn't want to risk it. The effort to change the address was minimal. :)

I for one hope you don't make a dime.

The level of scalping that goes on today is ridiculous. If you look at the iPhone queues on launch day, 95% of people there will be scalpers.

I don't know why everyone hates capitalism these days. I'm not saying I condone it, but I see no shame in making some profit if it's done legally.

Scalpers only exist because people are willing to pay up for something that scarce. It's not even really a moral issue since nobody is forcing them to pay it. If people weren't willing to be scalped, then scalpers wouldn't exist.

Especially for phones. It's not like normal concert tickets where there is only one chance to get into the venue. All people have to do is be patient and wait for iPhone supply to role in.

None of this BS would be an issue if Apple would actually have a decent supply of their phones on launch day.

You probably won't be able to buy them unlocked right away.

Also, don't be a jerk. Let the rest of us pre-order a phone, too.

Umm, I get what you are saying, but I don't ever remember Apple having a "first 2 million order" limited pre-order list. Resellers aren't preventing you from pre-ordering the phone.

FYI - I'd never do the resell thing, but you guys getting butt hurt on someone legally making profit on an economy that is based on capitalism is quite frankly, ridiculous.

verizon is unlocked right out of the box.

so you hate people who are legally making money but you condone people who will scam others out of there hard earned money, yeah makes sense.

I don't get these people that pay over retail just have a phone a few days or even weeks earlier. Especially since the 5s is still a powerful phone and will be able to prolly most anything the new phones can do except larger screen

It is because a lot of people like to inflate their ego and feeling of self-worth, by being able to say 'I have <insert item here> whereas most don't.

I speak from experience and likely why the others say this as it sucks being the person that cannot get something on launch day because people get a bunch of friends and buy up the stock to just go and sell them later that day for a huge profit.
You are then stuck waiting or paying the rediculous premium. I have been tempted to play the game too, but Im not that kind of person.
Could I use the extra money? Sure. . everyone could. But I dont want it like that. I just feel its a *****ty way to make money, but this is how our country runs.

On eBay, even now; there a lot sellers asking for the iPhone 5S 64GB Champagne Unlocked - New between $999.99 and $1,599.00. Gold versions are $1,299.99-$2,999.99. Ones with diamonds are $1,299.99 to $19,999.99!

A limit???

I think I saw that there is a limit of 5 iPhones that one person can buy. At least on ATT. I also thought even with a locked phone, it was necessary to have it tied to a telephone number.

you do know apple is doing the same to us right?lol takes nothing to make the iphone and they jack the price up

A billing address is separate and aside from the shipping address.

However, Apple has required shipment to your carrier address in the past.

I was thinking of selling a few iPhone 6's on eBay if Apple does pre-orders, then as soon as pre-orders go live ship the phone directly to the buyer's house so it will arrive on launch day. I'd ideally want to sell the phones for over a thousand so I can make some profit after eBay fees. Would this be feasible or am I going to run into some problems doing this? Thanks guys

People like you disgust me.
