iPhone 11 Pro [Resolved in iOS 13.2] iPhone 11 Pro (Max) screen flickers in photos app when Night Shift (or True Tone) and View Full HDR enabled

What would (did) you do if your iPhone 11 Pro (Max) has the flickering issue?

  • Return / Exchange it for another iPhone 11 Pro (Max)

That would be a good point if the screen protectors are the blue light protection or privacy , however the 11Pro that my son has .... is the clear high definition glass and he had very very slight yellow tint with TT ON.

It disappeared when he turned true tone OFF.
 
Alright fam, just picked up my new 11 pro from apple. Even the apple store reps were confused by the flickering. It’s sitting on iOS 13.0. Gonna keep it on iOS 13.0 for a day, then update. This should tell us if it’s software or hardware.

I got a replacement a few days ago but it did the same thing, both on 13.0 and 13.1.2. :(

Ok, so I'm still on 13.0, and yeah, I can confirm that it's still doing it. ALTHOUGH, it's not nearly as bad on 13.0. It's more like one or two flickers then it stops. I'm updating to 13.1.2 right now. I get the feeling that this is definitely software. You can tell the phone is having a difficult time trying to understand if it should push out those extra nits to display HDR or not. So yeah, hopefully a software update will fix this. We should definitely submit this to Apple feedback program ASAP.

I think we can only submit a bug report on a beta version software. @Steveyliu Could you please report this issue on your iOS 13.2 beta 1 please? 😁

I have already reported it my friend. And I just get back from apple store. I tested couple display models. They all have this problem. I also talked to one of the technicians and reported the issue. He think it’s software related.

It's both comforting and disheartening that the display models are experiencing this (bad quality control for sure) Although I appreciate you testing them. I didn't have the chance to do so when I was at the Apple store today. I have a call with Apple technicians in the morning. I'll let ya'll know what they say.

Not at all. Some of us also tried the presentation devices at local Apple Store, same issue discovered :confused:

I would suggest to turn on Reduce White Point until Apple fixes this issue via software updates.;)

If it's sw, then I'm calm 😁.
 
When I replaced my device at Apple, my replacement device has same issue...however the IPhone 11 Pro they exchanged with me didn’t come in a retail box. It was a plain brown box from what I remember. Was I given a new device? Is that how a normal exchange is handled?
