I have the tickets. Pulled em off the device with redsn0w.

Christ. I have been troubleshooting iOS jailbreak related issues for two years (and did a massive load today alone) and I always know what's up. Bit this is the first I'm hearing of redsn0w being able to pull tickets. I'm going to read on that. Sorry, OP, for being harsh.

I'm listening, but there is contradicting information. One person says it works, another says no it doesn't.

I did this as a test with my iphone 4 with 5.0 long after the window was closed. And put 5.0.1 on with the same method (since I would have to restore with this file in the future, i might as well see if it works now and is fully compatible with the JB vs a stock install then JB)

You've done, to the best of what I can tell by your responses, what I did to make mine. The only diff, is mine isn't verizon, its att.

Here's websites (you can search for more) about using ifaith to basically do the same thing on windows.

If it were IMPOSSIBLE, i doubt you'd find so many people talking about how to do it.

It's in the extras area and as I said, I have not seen any tutorials outlining it, which is why I took the time to share what I've done as it took a lot of trial and error to get it working. I had to restore to stock a few times and try different things to get from 5.0.1 back to 5.0.(the day corona was released, so well after the signing window) But wanted to test it during the 5.0.1 signing window to have had done it. Pull em from your phone and then run the verify, you'll see em. Also, not only that, tiny umbrella was also updated to support APTickets as well. You can use redsn0w to verify and stitch each one. That's why I suggested he get both, since tiny gets it from Apple, and redsn0w pulls it from the device.

Here is the posts where each was updated to support APTicket:

No worries, just trying to learn

Thank you for your responses! That was the information I needed.

I get the same response from redsn0w when I verify the blobs from my phone.

I have read this thread, but I still have a question:

I am on iphone 4S (5.0.1) and saved my SHSH/Blobs through TinyUmbrella.
Now I know there is no method (yet) to restore/downgrade once apple stops signing the current 5.0.1 firmware.

Now my question; are the SHSH/Blobs files enough to perform "in the future" (when TinyUmbrella/iFaith found a method) a restore to 5.0.1 (when apple stopped signing it)?

Cause I read something about APTickets are needed aswell?
Sorry if this is a obvious question, just a concerned iphone 4s user.

ps: So the bottom line for every A5 device owner:
Make damn sure you got a clean and stable jailbreak running :p

im sure the jailbreak devs have something up there sleeve for when 5.1 comes out and people 'accidentally' upgrade. like labman said, some stay on FW for awhile, a stable jb is a precious thing. i suggest messing with all those funny apps now while 5.0.1 is being signed, and have a solid 4S jb when 5.1 comes out...so nothing goes awry.
