Latinist: you state that you did this some time ago, I assume nothing changed yesterday that would change the story given I already have 3.1.2 registered with Saurik's server? As I read it, that seems to be the case, but just trying to be complete on my research as I really don't want to lose my JB given GVMobile+, Pro Switcher and Auto Silent are 'musthaves" for me.

Nothing should have changed. I can't personally verify it, but others have said it still works.

What I meant is, after I did jb in december, i had never seen "make my life easier" option on cydia or i might have not paid attention to, isnt this the option that will store ecid/shsh on cydia's servers?

Ok I have a 3g not a 3gs,
I have a 3.1.2 jb working perfectly

if I have to restore I understand I can restore to 3.1.2 again.
But where do I download the 3.1.2 files.

Itunes looks like it has downloaded the 3.1.3
If I restore its going to put the 3.1.3 on.

You can restore to 3.1.2 and jailbreak, do not put 3.1.3 on your phone

Official Apple IPSW downloads

Once downloaded, use option + restore (Mac) or shift + restore (PC) to select 3.1.2 IPSW.

Then use JB tools to JB.
