I think the little snippet thing of the running app is useless to me. Why do you need to see a little tiny window? What kind of info could you possibly get from that?

And the settings....Meh. I dont want to be able to mess with the brightness right there. I never adjust my screen brightness like some people. My friend with a GS2 is constantly adjusting his damn brightness to squeeze an extra 30 seconds of battery life.

Wifi and bluetooth toggle would be ok though.

Ipod thing also good.

Faster & easier gesture for closing apps

would be very cool to have implemented in iOS 6.1 (or 6.2 at least:) ).

Another great idea would be to speed up the closing of open apps: double click on the home button and if you drag an icon out of the bar (above the bar) the app closes and the same effect happens like in OS X when you remove an icon from your dock!

This is my theory on quick toggles.

In an ideal world, Apple wouldn't have settings for such tasks.

They don't want people thinking about turning WiFi, 3G... etc on or off to manage battery or other things.

Ideally the software would manage these in a more effective way.

For example, when away from Wifi it puts any Wifi hardware into a low power 'sleep' state.

I think by making these settings much more visable, it opens them up to be 'played' with more often by more people, when in actual fact Apple doesn't want people worrying about such things.

I think the new "Use 3G when WiFi is weak" setting was a good indicator of this, but it got pulled in the final beta.

Maybe i'm conmpletely wrong, and in IOS7 we'll see toggles... but it's just my theory.

This won't happen because there is no need to 'close' the apps.

(unless one isn't acting correctly)

6.1?

Good luck even getting that in iOS8.
The lack of UI improvement to go along with the longer screen is one of the most disappointing parts of the iPhone 5 (and why the complaints about Forstall are valid). Unlike the App complaints where the developers didnt know for sure about the new aspect ratio until launch, Apple knew exactly what was going on but didnt put the extra screen space to use by enhancing the UI.

Hopefully the concept presented here gets popular enough that Apple takes notice because at this point then it really does seem like Apple felt it nailed the UI and doesnt need to bother with improving it at all.

Lots of people fiddle with brightness, so it would be nice. I leave bluetooth and wifi on 24/7, but it would still be nice to have a toggle.

Brightness, BT, 3G, etc, are all great. I don't care to see card-like representations of the app window. I'm well aware what the app looks like; that idea is just eye candy, I see zero function to it.

The place for a few toggles is in the notification center, like NC or SBS setting does. The only toggles i ever really used was the WiFi one and i had one for a flashlight.

For the other part, yea i really do not see any need to show a snapshot of what the app is doing.

Since we are kind of asking for things, i miss the infinidock i had when i was jailbroke.
