I am already regretting you not going 2.7.
I think this option depends more on the SSD size you want. I got the 2.6Ghz because I cannot live with a 256GB laptop.
Come on. I mean really, what is the point of just getting 300MHz? Why not 400Mhz and 2MB of additional L3 cache?
You are going to be kicking yourself for not grabbing that additional performance!

The more speed of CPU means the heat you will get, I trying to cool the MacBook Pro down.
becasue its 350 dollars more dude?!?!?!

Or the faster CPU will get thing done faster, so it won't heat up as much.
Realize that everyone is going to convince you to get the 2.7 because it's the better option and it's not their money.
If you're set on the 2.3 and don't want to spend the money on the 2.7, then don't bother with the 2.6 either. Save yourself a few hundred.
uh no its 350 dollars more...therefore, i will go witht he 2.6, only 100. u have a problem with that?
Why would I have a problem? I was merely giving you advice. It's your money, spend it on what you want.

So very glad I went with max config. After a shoot I loaded a few hundred raw files into Lightroom for the first time on my rMBP and then did some post processing work in LR and Nik plugins. Then I moved the files to my main LR library on external drives. I would definitely NOT recommend another config to any photographer.
