that's exactly why :(...mainly use it as my "fun" laptop without any work on it, now the problem is that I dont have too much time for fun during the week haha:p

Well, I wish I had enough money for a 'fun' laptop as well.

(Technically I kinda did. Used a MacBook (White) and then got a MacBook Pro (Unibody, 15"). Used MacBook (White) for work, and occasionally MacBook Pro for 'fun' as well back then. Got a bit of a hassle having to transfer files between the two, and adjusting between the two workspaces. Gave up the MacBook (White) and moved permanently to the MacBook Pro.)

I have a maxed out mid 2012 rMBP 15" i7 16GB RAM. No issues. Would love 32GB RAM and the newer Intel chips, but I'm waiting for Skylake.

This poll is complete nonsense.
Yes, i own a Retina MacBook Pro 15.
I bought it, when i needed it and i am still happy with it.

Probably, but what else would we be doing? This is sort of interesting. I would have thought it would be like this. Most people choosing the latest and greatest. I think you are probably in the minority. Most of us love our equipment and put some forethought into the purchases. Heck that's what the forums are for right?

Thanks for all the polls and replies, I believe I'm getting a mid 2012 MacBook pro retina 15" with 2.7ghz, 768GB of Flash storage, 16GB ram, with a bunch of extra adapters Thunderbolt, Ethernet adapter, and a HDMI adapter, and a Stucano Work Out Laptop Bag with Carry Strap ($99 Value) for $1450 so far, all I gotta do is just go check it out, go through my checklist, and purchase.

Thanks for all the post and over 3500 views, really appreciate it, I'll keep you posted!

Enjoyed a mid 2012 2.6 as my main machine for two years, still a very capable machine today.

Why do you need an hdmi adapter? It has a native hdmi port

Yeah, just a couple of inches bigger in the diagonal and a few hundred grams heavier. For your trouble you get double the core count and a dGPU.

If that's an issue then join a gym.

yes it is really portable more portable than my 13" MacBook Pro.

More portable? How does that make any sense :p

To me the 15" was like a desktop. When I got my 13" it hardly ever left my desk. So I got an iMac to replace it. The 13" is now my primary laptop and I think it's a great size, very portable and easy to carry.
