I was looking forward to buying a new MBA, but now it seems like it's going to be a tough decision.

If SSDs are the new default, that really changes things.

4k $
Is Apple converting to selling space shuttles or laptops ?

These news and your post made my day.

That's a joke...right? I can't stop laughing. This is insane.
I don't know if I have to continue laughing or start crying.

Maybe we've all confused these new MBP prices with current Mac Pro prices. I think we might be disappointed today guys. I'm putting my money on the discontinuation of the Mac Pro, I hope i'm wrong.

But more importantly, this doesn't say anything about the thickness (thinness) of these machines. That's the interesting part to me.

EDIT: I agree with Peace below, 768 has got to be a BTO option.

I says alongside the existing form factor, so it must be different, we can tell that much.

but the high-end model is said to be exceeding the equivalent of $4000 in some countries

Does the price include the condoms? Seeing as it's apple they might charge an extra for the accessory, a modest $100.

I should think with those specs, even the low end will still be blowaway fast. Those specs and a retina display will make me get my card out...

The store's down right now so I don't know if this is the exact price but Apple charges something like $1200 for 512 GB of SSD. I know you can get it cheaper yourself but if they're making this standard in the higher end 15" MBP's, I'm not surprised that their 768 GB SSD would break the bank

Apple!!! Please release a thinner 13 in. retina MBP too! Please! Please! Please!
