Retina MacBook Pro configured spec vs. box sticker

I think it may be time to get Amazon involved. I work in customer service and I'm sensing red flags all over the place...

1. They did not ship the machine as advertised.
2. The seller is being passive and not taking prompt action to satisfy your claim.

On "Fulfilled by Amazon" sales, a return shipping label would have been issued by now. Question: did the seller include an invoice with the shipment? Reputable sellers that deal in Macs will print the serial number matching the shipped machine right on the invoice. If the S/N matches, you have an even stronger case. If it doesn't (or if they failed to document the S/N), there may be a bit of grief ahead. :(

Thanks all for stopping by.

I already filed a case with Amazon, and they promised to make sure that I will get my money back, and I was told by Amazon rep that they already sent a message to the seller demanding the seller to refund my account right away. But also asked me to give the seller times to response, and so far no refund yet.

The seller did however, sent me a return label through Amazon to send the machine back, and it's on the way back.

CaptainChunk, the seller did not include an invoice with the shipment, which I find a little odd too, I've buying stuff from Amazon for a decade, and never before I received something without a simple invoice in the shipping box.

Before I sent the machine back, I checked to see where it was shipped from, and it was from a "Fulfillment center", and the return shipping is to the same location, which I think is an Amazon's facility or something.

Glad to hear that Amazon helped you out.

I'll echo what others said, buy from a seller or website that includes the full 1 year warranty, even if it means spending a little more. That means that you are covered by Apple's warranty and support, which is usually top notch, and you then also have the option to get Apple Care.

Hope all goes well for you with it being your first Mac, I'm typing on my 2015 Retina Macbook and it's also my first Mac, loving it so far!

Was chatting with Amazon earlier, and they assured me that I will be well taken care of.

Bought a different rMBP, and it got shipped today, I should have it next Wednesday. This rMBP is also a 15" with maxed out spec with 3 years AppleCare. Total should be around $2,455 after cashback...

Hello everyone,

Just want to say hello and to update on the status and to bring topic to an end.

Finally, today Amazon refund my credit card and closed my case.

So now, I'm a proud owner of a 15" MacBook Pro with retina screen and maxed out spec and it come with 3 years ApplCare, I also bought a magic mouse.

Total for everything is around $2,460. So far I'm very happy with the quality and the performance of the machine. Just a little disappointed when I first open it though. It's a brand new machine and was still in the manufacturer sealed box, but it has some dust speckles on the screen when I open it, I had to blow it off.

I also had to wipe the machine with some rubbing alcohol because there were some glue residues on the machine, some what similar to my experience with my iPad Air. But other than that, it's an awesome machine.

Thanks again everyone, for stopping by and answering my questions.
