I think it may be time to get Amazon involved. I work in customer service and I'm sensing red flags all over the place...
1. They did not ship the machine as advertised.
2. The seller is being passive and not taking prompt action to satisfy your claim.
On "Fulfilled by Amazon" sales, a return shipping label would have been issued by now. Question: did the seller include an invoice with the shipment? Reputable sellers that deal in Macs will print the serial number matching the shipped machine right on the invoice. If the S/N matches, you have an even stronger case. If it doesn't (or if they failed to document the S/N), there may be a bit of grief ahead.
