Whoa. Why are pictures needed? It's just a regular old retina pro.

I mean if people REALLY want them, I could post them. It'll look like any other unboxing/regular retina pro.

I am contemplating in trading it for a base air plus lots of cash. Haven't decided yet.

We want to know if you actually got it!

Oh, take that air trade.

Lol congrats. I got mine through Apple w/ Education discount and a good discount off due to some issues so I ended up paying like 1830 (w/ superdrive). Have fun with it :p

Hahhaha! Thank you guys in making this thread great.

Before I met up with the guy, I called apple. They informed me that they won't have any way in checking if the laptop in stolen. I asked "so your saying there is no drawbacks in purchasing a stolen laptop". She replied "nope you should be good to go"

LOL. I met with him and the laptop was brand new. Never opened. It was pristine. Ended up paying 1835. Woohoo.

Well the only drawback is if it was actually stolen, the cops can charge you with possession of stolen property?

Not to sure about that.

What if he wrote Mike Hunt? Would everyone find that funny?

Not as funny as if he wrote adolf hitler and has blonde hair with blue eyes lol

You haven't it turn it on yet ? I wouldn't trade it at all, you got a beast of a machine

Hello,

Someone on CL is selling their brand new retina macbook pro base for 1850. Still sealed. He said he won it in a contest so he was willing to work down from his original price of 1950. Any thoughts? Bite or no?

You can't believe how many people I have heard being scammed by a person who claims that "He has won this in a contest".

I'm not sure about this one, though. Hire a security guard, four of them. Prepare tanks. Sign a contract with the US Military. Get nuclear targeting systems on the guy. Hire 10 lawyers to check if there's a loophole in the contract. Get information from this guy, where he really lives and his relatives. Observe him. And prepare to sue if he's a liar.

Just Kidding! But the thing is, I'm not sure about him. Listen to his reviews. Check if he's legit.

wouldn't it be easier calling chuck Norris or jack bauer ? Lol

I would always be wary of people who claims to win things off of a contest of some sort. Especially one that wouldn't use a brand new Macbook Pro Retina!

Yeah, decided to see if anyone will trade a 2012 macbook air base 13"+900 for the retina.

The footprint is just too large for me to handle it comfortably.

Might want to rethink your price.

Macbook Air 13" Price 1200$ + VAT + 900 = 2100+ which is almost as much as buying a new Retina from the apple store...

Educational Discount Retina-2000
Educational Discount Air- 1150

Difference 850.

That being said, 850 it is then.

again this is for people who want a retina but is out of their return window. Plus if the person is out of their return window that also means they've been using the air primarily while my retina has only been used for less than 2 hours.

People who went Air dont have need for such a powerful machine. They like the portability and price of the Air. People interested in the Macbook Pro could be possible buyers. So if I was in your place I would price the Retina a tad over the 15" cMBP so as to attract buyers.
