I'm on iOS 4.2.1 with using the tethered jailbreak on redsn0w 9.6b4.

I installed the latest RetinaPad from Cydia (1.1.1, I think).

Thanks.

So I sent a msg to Ryan Petrich, RetinaPad's creator, via Twitter and he says that it sounds like the permissions are wrong in the config file.

Anyone have pointers on how I can check and fix this?

Thanks.

Using iFile from Cydia, navigate to /var/mobile/Library/Preferences, and find the .plist file for RetinaPad. Tap on the blue arrow next to it and make sure you have the ability to "write" to the file for the 3 different groups. Better yet, make it readable, writable, and executable.

Sorry to sound like a n00b but I don't have any .plist files with the word "RetinaPad" in it in "/var/mobile/Library/Preferences"

I did an install of RetinaPad again from Cydia and nothing has shown up. I know it's on the iPad because it has an entry in the iPad Settings.

Thanks again.

The file you're looking for is called "com.rpetrich.retinapad.plist". If it's not there, check the permissions of the actual Preferences folder.

bumping this because i just downloaded RetinaPad and it's the business!!

Hmm. Good work. Street Fighter on the ipad doess seems sharper. Will try out another apps again.
