actually- i would think apple would track returns. Amazon does it. Enough returns and they'd possibly get ticked. I wondered if people had heard of such repercussions.
as far as the forum response, a little surprised how sanctimonious people were. If apple made had prepared enough supply it wouldn't be an issue. While that's no excuse- the delays are pretty ridiculous on orders. People are going to try strategies to mitigate that.
you've got an awful lot of accusations there and assumptions about what I'm going to do or not. they are false.I feel like you started this thread just to ruffle feathers though. You already knew you were going to do it and when others didn't agree with you, you call them sanctimonious. Where is the phone you have been using before you pre ordered?

i sold my phone when the regular black one came...saw the JB in store then placed an order. so i'll be phoneless to return it tomorrow.
People should be able to ask questions on the forums about apple policies without being trolled/ accused of bs which you sir are stirring up. same as with the apple ireland tax issue- if you don't like it ask apple to change the rule to say X number of returns.
it feels to me like you are the one stirring things up over something that people have confirmed is well within the rules. esp since you keep replying on this thread asking the same thing over and over.
aka trolling.
actually I was just asking if a policy was permissible. i.e. what will occur if I do X.Did you really think that you would get a high five from other members? Now we are Trolls![]()
actually I was just asking if a policy was permissible. i.e. what will occur if I do X.
Also, to correct you again I didn't say folks were trolling- in fact the vast majority of posts were helpful. The irish tax issue, the return count the comment saying to ignore some of the sentiments you expressed in fact.
It was your posts and inflammatory comments in specific were what I was referring to as trolling or inflammatory behavior. That was pretty clear if you read what I wrote but once again you are mischaracterizing what I said by saying how I was descriibng your behavior applied to the forum as a whole or everyone who replied. Extremely misleading (again troll like behavior)
In short, most of the replies were fine and helpful.
1 post this thread? you may have more posts in this thread than me- and it was my question.Once again, I had only replied to you once. You don't like my post, so now I'm a troll. Could it be a guilty conscious? Maybe ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Whatever helps you sleep at night.
Doing it to often and he can get banned.Apple makes a ton of money and will be fine.
You're not going to hurt the company just because you buy 1 phone with the sole purpose on returning it.
Go for it!

Very true, I know the store exchange bans where store level and people where so upset.I guess the Apple Store could eventually refuse to sell you anymore phones once you've returned a couple of them...I've never heard of it but it's possible. I do believe the ban would be on a store level. You could always go to another Apple Store.
Or worse case they blacklist your card from being used at the Apple Store..You could always use another card

and ill sleep great man....i found a backup i can use.
I heard of people doing that and that is when they got ban, but some people are lucky and slip through the cracks. Knowing my luck I would get ban...lolSpeaking about returning a phone, I have a story, I don't know if it's true or not but my friend told me he did this. He would travel a lot so he would buy an Iphone and return it every 2 weeks. He did this at many different Apple Stores. He would always return what he bought at a different store than the one he originally bought it from. Sometimes he would go past the 14 day return period, and Apple would still let him return it. After 2 years, he got sick of doing it because it was a huge waste of time.
