After almost 2 weeks with the iphone 7, I decided to return it and get the 6s Plus.

These are my primary reasons:

1. Could not get used to warmer/yellow dim screen. Call it normal, but I like crisp whites and more brightness. 6s Plus has bright/white screen.
2. Several stock apps would freeze and I'd have to reboot my phone several times daily. Apps included Weather, Mail, and App Store. 6s Plus has not had this issue.
3. Stereo speakers were not too impressive. Stereo effect was nice, but not real loud. The single speaker on the 6s Plus is just as loud.
4. Haptic touch home button was ok. However, I prefer feel of the touch button on the 6s Plus.
5. I wanted a larger screen size and contemplated exchanging 7 for the 7 Plus, but didn't want a yellow screen and similar issues I had with 7.

I will wait for the next iphone, until then, the iphone 6s Plus has been very impressive. The bigger screen makes a huge difference when viewing movies, videos, and playing games. The size takes a little getting used to, but I can't see myself going back to 4.7" now. The camera is excellent for my needs, and still one of the best on the market for a smartphone. I don't miss the iphone 7. It's a little too hyped. Just my honest opinion.

Note: I exchanged the 7 twice, and all screens were warm/yellow.

The yellow screen issue vs. blue reminds me a lot of a calibrated TV vs one in cool mode. Something that is calibrated correctly tends to lean more towards the warm side. Being the screen was reviewed as one of the most accurate, the yellow look compared side by side to a different iPhone makes sense.

Personally, if I was in the market for a new phone, there is no reason I would pick a 6S/6S+ over a 7/7+

Love my 7, here where I'm at the 6s and 6s+ are still the same price. No way in hell I would give the same price for an older model, jmo tho

This is because the phones are being rushed so quickly they don't have time to cure all the way, give it a few days and it will be fine. Many have reported it goes away.

Factory reset your device and don't restore from a backup, this is not common at all.

This is false, scientific tests have proven the decibel level is much higher on the 7/7+.

Mechanical buttons are a thing of the past, you won't be seeing them anytime soon again on an iPhone.

5. I wanted a larger screen size and contemplated exchanging 7 for the 7 Plus, but didn't want a yellow screen and similar issues I had with 7.
All issues besides from the button are easily fixable.

Ip7=Ip6s
Same phone , IPhone 7 shouldn't deserve the own name

Tell me what 7 do that the 6s are not capable?
What MUST feature the 7 has that the 6s hasn't ?

Worst non S model every made
I am on S cycle
Water resistant
Stereo speakers

This isn't to say that these are features worth the upgrade. Hats up to you. But I can see these being valuable to someone. Early reports about the water resistance seem very good too. I was personally impressed by how loud the speakers were too.

Again, these are actual measurable improvements. Whether you care or not is another story. I chose not to upgrade this year myself (wife upgraded her phone).

You made the right choice OP, I'm sticking with my 6S plus too, it's a great phone
Yes Indeed!

Each of the three iPhone 7 Plus models I bought for family members are a bit of a disappointment, they're not a bad phone, just possess annoyances like the buzzy vibrating haptic home button.

They're a stellar reminder of just how much I prefer my iPhone 6S Plus model. Since its 64GB capacity was nearly full, I stopped at the Apple Store just ten minutes from home and bought a fresh new 128GB iPhone 6S model to use until next years 10th Anniversary iPhone is released.

You are a smart man....I did the same.

That's unfortunate. I got the 6s Plus 128Gb for $120 less than 7 Plus same capacity.

$120 less and brighter screen was reason enough for me. :)

I had it almost 2 weeks. Not likely they will change.

Did that. Clean install from iTunes as recommended by Apple.

Maybe, but I compared with two phones and loudness was close. Only real difference was a surround effect.

I'll get used to that eventually. Thankfully, I have choices for now.

Congrats on being the 100th post made praising the 6s over the 7. How about you just be happy with you choice? Why do you bed to justify it?

The 7 is a better phone. Louder speaker, better screen (doesn't matter if you like off color blue, the 7 is better), better camera, better battery, water resistant, and a processor that is powerful enough it is rumored to be used in the upcoming non-pro MacBooks , and is already more powerful than last years intel M.

The old home button is gone, and something you get used to. The headphone jack absence I can understand, by again, so long. It's gone for better or worse.

6s Plus doesn't have 3GB of RAM
Is that really necessary though?

No need to be rude. You seem to be reading all the posts, so relax. Enjoy your 7. :)

Same here. Long time lurker, first time poster. Decided to stick with the 6s plus after trying out the 7 plus.

The 6s plus is a great future proofed phone with 2gb ram and A9 which to me was just as fast as the 7 in real world conditions. Has a 12mp camera with OIS which is capable of raw with certain apps if you're a serious photographer. And 3d touch which is becoming more important with ios10.

The 7 didn't really offer much more in terms of day to day user experience for my money and is certainly good enough for another year, but of course YMMV.

The only thing I don't like about my 7 is the glitchy animations.

First iPhone I've ever had where performance is worse than the previous model.

My iPhone 7 went back after about five days and will retain my 6s until next year. The only thing I would miss with the 7 is OIS, everything else is not worth it.

wait so you had a 6S and bought a new 6S for a little bit more space?

The family and I had to upgrade. Was going to go with the 6s, however the 7 was the same price. Made sense to go with the 7. I have no issues with the home button. Like it much better actually.

The headphone jack is an issue we will have to deal with. Yes I know there are Bluetooth headphones out there, but we currently have none.

But to go from a 6s to a 6s just didn't make sense, for us.

Phones are on back order of course!

People keep saying "You made the right choice". Or I think so and so is better.

Isn't that a matter of opinion lol? Why do people need to justify their purchase or need to have other people tell them they made the right or wrong choice.

I did think you made the right choice going to a + sized phone. "But that's my opinion" See what I did there lol.

That's like me telling somebody they are wrong for getting the 7 over the 7+ as it lacks the second camera, extra GB of ram and bigger 1080p screen. They may not need that, doesn't make it wrong.

I too am not sure why people have to justify. Its just for them to reassure from other peoples positivity towards it i think.
I personally would never buy a year old tech device as i sell my stuff and resale value on a 1 year old phone in another year will drop by 100-200$. So buying old tech if you plan on upgrading and selling isn't wise.
But yes great choice!
I for one wanted waterproofing, improved rear cameras, improved front facing camera, 1 more gig of ram for my +, better battery life, stereo speaker, and much improved color and hidden antenna bands.
I personally think going from a 6S-7 is a big upgrade. More so than the S model upgrades. The only improvements last year where what... 2 gig of ram/processor/force touch and tweaked camera? coming from my 6+ is a major upgrade for me since that phone was pretty bad with memory management and speed difference is night and day.
