wait so you had a 6S and bought a new 6S for a little bit more space?
Each and every year I upgrade our family members to the newest iPhone model. This year was the exception as I strongly dislike the haptic button. It didn't appeal when I read the rumors, so I bought 7's for those who wanted them, and happily kept my 6S Plus.

Upon arrival I setup a 7S to test before passing it on. After using it for six days I'm even happier that I kept my 6S Plus. One family member also found his iPhone 7 Plus not to his liking and wished he hadn't given up the 6S Plus. So I bought a new larger 128GB 6S Plus for me, and passed the 64GB on so he could get rid of the iPhone 7 Plus.

I'll continue to enjoy my 6S+ till this time next year when Apple offers the next new iPhone.

What didn't you like about the home button. I really think it's a step forward. I don't like the lack of a headphone jack, even though i rarely use headphones.

I returned my 7 Plus today for other reasons but actually liked the home button.

One thing that I think that will become an issue for some is unlocking the phone with gloves which has already been mentioned.

I'm used to the extreme speed of the modern efficient capacitive home, recent and back buttons that I've enjoyed for years on various Android phones. My current Nexus 6P and 5X models are stellar examples of buttons that don't waste space and operate exactly like the touchscreen.

I had hoped Apple would use these proven solutions, but in typical fashion their ego prevented it.

Instead Apples addiction to creating something different just to brag... Was the prevailing emotion for them. The odd tactile sensation is annoying. Yet it does delight many Apple Devotees that also like to brag. It's a vanity thing in AppleLand.

Same phone , IPhone 7 shouldn't deserve the own name

Tell me what 7 do that the 6s are not capable?
What MUST feature the 7 has that the 6s hasn't ?

Worst non S model every made
I am on S cycle

The dual camera on the iPhone 7 plus and the portrait mode it offers as well as optical zoom are just a few features out of many that your 6S does not have, not to mention 3gb ram.

I have no idea what you are referring too with Nexus 6P and 5X. I have had a iPhone since the 4/4s. I am not an apple devotee, can't stand nor do I own any other apple products except for an iPad. All my computers are window based.

How does the new home button waste space? Not arguing or defending, just asking because I don't have an android.

The only way to know, and to appreciate the huge difference is to have the first hand experience of using a smartphone with these buttons. They're not a mechanical moving button like iPhones have had up until iPhone 7.

Therefore Apple customers simply and innocently, just don't know the difference. That's how Apple gets away with using a very old 1950's technology on a modern smartphone.

I think it's a question of cost and where you are in the iPhone model range.

If I already owned a 6S, I wouldn't upgrade.

If I owned a 5S or earlier, buying last year's model (the 6S) doesn't make sense, even with the $100 price differential in the US.

If you have a 6, I think it's a close call.
