I've read some threads saying that custom configured MacBooks are not returnable.
But I've also heard of some cases recently that custom configured MacBooks are returnable.

I have the late 2013 (newest) customized model, and can someone confirm if this is returnable or not?
I bought this a week ago from the online store.

Call Apple, they will tell you directly.

Don't bother calling - just go to the online store and click on "Return Items" - and yes, they are definitely returnable. If you don't believe me, just go to their website and read the return policy for yourself. It is PERSONALIZED items that are not returnable (like an iPad with an engraved back), not built-to-order items.

It's returnable if by the online store you mean the Apple Store website. If you mean a third party vendor, see their return policy for details.

It never hurts to ask the right people to ask, not us...

What are you talking about OP?

Of course you can return a customized machine. I have returned my customized build to order macbook pro three times in the last month and a half because of the yellow screen issues. I just take it to the nearest physical Apple store, though I ordered it online.

There's no point in wasting time on hold when you can just go to where you bought it (the online store) and click on return if you want to return it. There isn't any doubt about their policy.

If someone came on here asking if Apple has an online store I wouldn't tell them to call Apple. I'd just say yes.
