I'm with you. I'm returning my 4S. I'm just not terribly impressed with it. When I compared the front facing cameras, my 4 is better. My 4S also has some weird yellow tint to the screen.

Aren't they both VGA?

im pretty surprised that you are looking to return it...its incredibly faster and siri is amazing...not to mention the camera...

I actually have siri turned off. I personally find siri quite useless. But then again, I don't like talking to inanimate objects, never have, never will. Only reason I moved from 4 to 4S was 4 broke and it was out of warranty, so it was a better value to just move to 4S than try to fix a broken 4. I'll take good care of this 4S and pass it on to my sister next year when iPhone 5 comes out...

I'm just like Wesk702 my upgrade is up Nov.15 but I just think I would rather my upgrade be ready for the iPhone 5. I was really planning on getting this but I just can't justify the money for a few things. If i played a lot of games maybe. I do want the improved camera and siri but i guess ill hold off for a launch iPhone 5.

I returned mine as well, same reasons as the OP really.

For the flamers though, it's got nothing to do with affordability, if there was enough of a difference betweeen the 4 and 4S I would have kept it so it's hardly a question of affordability. It just came down to reason that if it costs £x to change, and you don't feel you're getting £x worth of value, then why keep it?

Few questions. I want to return mine and get the 32 GB. I ordered from Apple online store. So I have 30 days to return it...Is it 30 days from when I pre ordered (the 7th) or when I got it (14th)?

How long will it take Apple to reset my upgrade?

Even Apple says it is just "faster" and "better than iPhone 4"... Replying to messages or sharing photos won't change with iOS, not even with next iPhone. The improvement you may see is just for games and apps which will be utilized in a month or two when games like Infinity Blade 2 will start rolling.... Just wait and watch.

Plenty of people can come up with justifications for keeping it. But the 4 vs. the 4s in terms of increasing productivity just isn't there. Calling, corresponding via text or email, sharing pics, ect isn't going to be any different between the two.

i don't care if people return phones and i completely agree if YOU don't see the benefit in a new phone you should NOT BUY IT.

But i just wanted to correct you saying that calling won't be any different. The antenna in the 4S has been vastly improved over the 4 and so you WILL drop less calls on the 4S compared to the 4 and have better call quality.

Also the data will be faster if you are on ATT so that would affect email and sharing pics a bit ;)

Otherwise, yeah they are VERY identical phones. The only huge improvement you will see is if you are a gamer or have 64gb of stuff to store. I am a gamer so, booyah!

I never had many dropped calls on my 4, unless you have it in the death grip. Sure data will be faster but what are we talking over 3G or Wifi, you load an email in 5 seconds vs 8? I didn't bring up gaming because in my opinion (for me) gaming on a 3.5in screen sucks either way you cut it. Hence why I brought up productivity, because for most working adults, this is where we use the phone the most.

Just return it within the 30-day window and your upgrade status will revert back to what it was before (i.e. it's as if you never purchased the 4S). There's nothing you need to apologize for. The 4S is aimed at people who have the 3GS or earlier versions, or who don't have the iPhone at all. People who have the iPhone 4 are generally better off waiting for the iPhone 5 next year. Apple realizes that most people buy their phones on 2 year contracts (at least in the US, but also fairly common in Europe). That's why they have adopted a "tick-tock" strategy of alternating between complete redesigns and spec bumps. If you have a 4 and don't see enough in the 4S to justify the upgrade, just return the 4S, go back to the 4 and see what happens next year. :apple:

I believe it's 30 days from the 14th, in your case, since that's the first day it was actually offered for sale, as well as the date you received it.

Yep and I don't understand why, but when I compare the 2, the 4 takes much better front facing pictures.:confused::confused:

My guess is it's the firmware on the 4S. It probably needs to be tweaked a bit, which will happen sooner or later with a minor update.
