it is not the camera lens we are talking about here, it is the sleep/power button, you don't have to shake the phone to hear it, just walking/moving will trigger the sound, if you put your finger on it the sound stops.
The problem is that the rattling sleep button is very close to the mic so if you take video, voice memo or be on the phone hands free while on the move that rattle is recorded or transmitted. I had 2 5s's (same spec, same factory one week apart) in my hands a couple of weeks ago, one had the issue and one didn't. the apple leather case does NOT help.

My first 5s have a very loose sleep button - you could move it around in the casing without depressing it. However, an Apple Leather Case held it in place and stopped the rattle.

(Unfortunately 7.0.3 did not fix my gyroscrope problem so I sent it back. Replacement ordered.)

My iphone 4, 4S and iphone 5 and most iphones I came across have that power button play\rattle motion.
I don't even notice or obsess over something minor like that.
If you go to an Apple store almost all devices will be the same. Unless you make them open up 100 replacements to look for one with the strongest power button. And even then you'll complain that its too stiff or hard to press down.
I'd find something better to do with my time and worry about better things in life.

No way it should make enough noise to ruin a video.

just checked the girlf's launch day 4S, has no rattle whatsoever. and this phone used to be mine it has been used and abused.

On mine iphones too, but on the iphone 5 I have rattle on the volume - button :D not a big deal at all

Do anyone's volume buttons rattle? My power button does, but my volume down button does as well. "Meticulously designed" my ass. Phone is so expensive and it feels like I bought it from Babies R Us (Fisher Price brand)

I have a nice case on mine. No rattles ;)

Some people like me don't want to hide the beautiful phone in a case.

Same here. I checked my old 3GS and 4S and none of them rattles even after years of abuse and numerous drops.

May I ask what made you assume this?

Not you personal, just generally speaking.
Some people will find anything to complain about. Nothing is ever "good" or such thing doesn't exist to some.
Its more of a personal issue IMO.

I'd like to hear that video with the tiny click from the power button that ruins the whole video. :D

If you have a 5s record yourself a voice memo while walking arround and see if u hear it

Good for you.

It's bizarre how people who don't have an issue attempt to play it down for those that do.

Personally I find it annoying and can appreciate how others may also find it an unaccepted feature on a premium product from a manufacture renowned for its attention to the tiniest detail.

Equally I'm cool with people who don't care about.

Yeah it's like how dare you dis something apple then 5 minutes later call you a fanboy hipster.

Guys I heard a lot of people saying it's only with the first batch of iPhones but my iphone 5s made on week 52 December 11-15 has got the rattle so Apple doesn't seem to care about the problem. Every apple product I buy has an issue so if I got this one replaced the new one would probably have another problem so I couldn't be bothered. There over priced considering all these issues
