Same here. I am trying to use it most of the time. The Hulu App without commercials is great as a replacement for my DVR (at least for those shows). I also signed up for CBS to test it since the current shows are not on Hulu. However, the cost ($6) is too much with commercials. If they could have an option to drop commercials like Hulu then I would prefer it over my DVR. I watch a number of News Show that I record first so even though they may come to the ATV I still think I would like some kind of DVR Service. Maybe cloud based. Anyway, love the direction.
Yes, Hulu has been great. My girlfriend lets me use her account. Between Hulu, Netflix, Plex, and a handful of TV apps (History, NatGeo, FX, Etc.), I can really see myself not having much of a need for my cable box. Unfortunately for now, we still need that account. Lastly, Sports is an issue for me. I feel like this will always be the thing that keeps me hanging on to cable. If the NFL offered a streaming package and Apple (or Comcast) came out with a streaming package, I would be thrilled with this product.
