Great. And others Appreciate some of the new features it has and the updated look.

Given the comments here so far, who are you seeing that appreciates some of the features? You? :D

I will give it credit. The 'Discover' tab is showing the exact product my wife and I were discussing buying 2 weeks ago.

Either the algorithm is good or Apple is just listening to us talking, all the time.

Or, it was just dumb luck. I go with the latter.

Why does it take someone to comment or make a negative statement? Or do other visitors/forum members read posts without having to actually post anything cynical?

While others don't appreciate the removal of features like being able to schedule and manage Genius Bar appointments. See how that works?

Actually, I called and spoke with Apple why they removed this. I was told the scheduling with Genius Bar appointments did not update with the store appointments and it created double booking reservations. Some stores would have server related problems and never even be able to confirm the appointment existed. Which ultimately had customers have frustrations.

There, I fixed it for you. See how that works?

So basically they pulled a Niantic, and instead of fixing a broken feature, they removed it entirely. That's the defense you're going with here?

My defense or Apple's response? Why, because I did my homework and asked questions for you, instead of Complaining about it? Gotcha. Let me know if you have any other questions. I would be happy to follow up on them for you.

No, you offered up a weak Apple excuse in a snarky fashion like it would squash any criticism right then and there, going on the defensive on behalf of Apple. That is what I was raising an eyebrow at.

Or perhaps pulled it until they can get it all straightened out and make it available then (when it's actually working properly).

Well, isn't that calling the kettle pot black. I simply provided an opinion, which lead to contacting Apple, which lead to your comment(s), followed by Apple's response and that makes it a weak excuse? I answered your question, only for you to complain more, being in dismay the Genius Bar being deleted.

I respectfully suggest you revisit the term defensive, because I stated exactly what I was Told from Apple, not as If I am acting as some litigation attorney for them. Some appreciate the revamped Application, others don't.

Let's not further exacerbate the issue and argue over an Apple Store Application. Back to reading more pertinent posts. Thanks.

The Apple employee made it sound that they hope to bring it back in the future. Hopefully, it will clear any issues at the Store level.

They removed the whole support part and the possibility to quickly get an appointment at the genius bar. Now have have to get through this website crap :(

The "revamped" Apple Store app doesn't let you make a Genius Bar appt anymore.

That's all I ever used it for.

Upgrade my a**.

Sounds like a complete excuse to me. I used the app many, many times to make an appt for several years now. No problems. Ever.

I think they're trying to reduce their Genius Bar load.

Nooo! That was the main reason I used the app (and also for preordering the iPhone). It was so convenient being able to book or reschedule a Genius Bar appointment with the app. Now we have to locate a computer to be able to do so.

What's a computer? ;)
[doublepost=1470389512][/doublepost]Got Brushstroke for free. Nice app.

The app is much better presented; the text is much bigger, and the tabs and menus don't keep disappearing. That was always such a pain in the old app.

The recommendations seem off. My new iMac only has three compatible printers supposedly; that seems unlikely.

Nice app since it is free, I wouldn't have paid for it.
I wonder if they'll give away other apps for free in the future via the apple store app.

Surprise surprise. The "App Store" now has "Top Charts" again for iOS 8 and older!

Enough of us complained and they finally fixed it.
Now we need the Apple Store app to support iOS 8 and older and MacOS support for all Intel Macs.

thye always do, sometimes an app is there for a week, other times for a month... I have gotten a good amount of free apps that way. They used to change it every week or so and now lately they change it w every app update it seems.

There's certainly a possibility along those lines, or one along the lines of plenty of people having issues with their scheduling across different stores.
