Being a couch potato finally pays off (financially)! Haven't earned any awards so nothing to buy here! Now, where did I put that PBR ...

Is anyone motivated at all by these badges? I could see grade school kids possibly competing for vitual badges - but seriously, throwing "gold stars" at an adult is kind of insulting and degrading. If and/or when I work out - it's for my personal gain. I couldn't manage to care less about what somebody at Apple thinks about my workout regime, if I tried. I am honestly more concerned about the welfare of the squirrel that lives trees behind the house, than I am about the badges - and those squirrels steal my apricots every summer.
Yes,

I have lost 50 pounds since April, using my apple watch and awards.

Not to mention, there was an award on Veteran's day and thanksgiving this year.

If not for Apple Watch (and COVID quarantine), my weight would still be at 230lbs. Bought a Series 5 and now I'm down to 164lbs, I'm doing 5K run at least, daily. And I also have some toned muscle. I'd like to be reminded how lazy and obese I was if not for the Watch. So these physical pins are a sweet reminder that I was a fat guy once, but no more thanks to Apple Watch.

I'd buy the whole sets since I gain almost all of them in my Fitness app.
Awesome man! I lost 50 pounds since april, using my apple watch and working out like a mofo.

Very well said and good job. Congrats.
This is what happens when rewards are given when rightfully gained and not as free participation prizes.

I got a similar story, since covid started I have been running and exercising daily too, no matter the weather (currently it gets down to -15C for example), easily accumulating 200km of distance a month. The rest is history.

I don’t have an Apple Watch but MyFitnessPal/Runkeeper/etc do their job of politely fat shaming me and make me lift my rear from the sofa. Your story makes me want to get one though.

Great job for you too! To be honest if you can stay motivated then it’s already great!! Apple Watch is merely a tool to quantify many aspects of your workouts.

It’s just more helpful that it’s tiny, worn on my wrist while also tracks my running pace, GPS and daily progress without bringing my phone during workouts.

just awful.

The craftsmanship will need to improve but the idea and that It is available is actually a nice thing. I don’t expect a lot of adults purchasing a LOT of these yet its great for youth trying to really achieve their physical fitness and health Goals.

I actually support this - and will next month when I get my Apple Watch 6 Nike+ [2020 COVID-19 closures of Gyms has screwed up ALL my fitness goals and regimine - not to mention skyrocket skelper pricing of Bowflex equipment and Bowflex unable to make more equipment (including their 2080 barbell set) for demand]

And how long until Apple shuts them down? A week?

Honestly, I don’t think Apple has copyright on the icons - I’d be surprised if they don’t. Apple may actually just help the company with craftsmanship and eventually buy them out ;)

Reminds me of Apple having Photos printable on Books you could order.
Also reminds us that sometimes people appreciate physical items for things they have and want to share.

How is this not a copyright infringement? As an artist who goes by the rules, it pisses me off to see how many people and small businesses get away with it for so long and make tons of money while I rely on original content.

Kinda pisses off others when people ASS-UME something they don’t know for absolute certainty.

1. Are you absolutely certain Apole has a copyright of all icons in fitness?
2. Are you absolutely certain this company does NOT have a license agreement with Apple to have this business?
3. Why not find out for certain ... since after all you’re “an artist who goes by the rules” ;)

Try number 3 first, please. You’ll have a lot less animosity and bad juju in your life and in your own chi.

Me apparently, as my current Longest Move Streak is 2,012 days.

In 2017, I closed all the rings - every day. Pity Apple doesn’t have a fitting “award”.

My wife and I are very motivated. The first day of each month we eagerly check to see our new monthly challenge. We've each closed our rings daily for 3 years. I bought her three of these.

I got mine yesterday and today. These are really nice!

Agreed...they are fun little “okay thank” notifications but it’s pathetic if people regard them so highly that they’d want a physical version to display (especially given that many are easy to manipulate).

Your “award” is not feeling as winded going up stairs, or the way your jeans feel now, or better lab results at the doctor.
I get what you’re saying but if someone manipulates it to get it, they know they haven’t really succeeded. For me personally I set the goals to a spot that will be difficult and don’t cheat. Agreed the awards are a fun thanks but its also nice to look at them start to pile up because you know you had to physically work hard to achieve them. Just visual representations of personal success.
