so I really wanted to buy the 7 plus for two equal reasons

touchID and slimmer form factor

I just get annoyed unlocking the fone with passcode, because faceID wont work with masks.
passcode is just very primitive thing to do in 2020

I would have wanted to buy the 8 plus but it's heavier, iPhone 11 is straining in the hand for long term usage. iPhone SE2's screen is too small and the battery life is underwhelming

so after using it for a month,

review:

1. speed differences: I dont notice any speed differences

2. battery differences: this is where the difference is.

im a heavy user, I have a lot of freelance jobs since Im in the marketing field so Im always on the go.
but this is just an interim fone before the iPhone SE plus or touchID might come alongside faceID with the iPhone 13 next year
will just charge it as much as I can, not caring about batt health.

if the iPhone 11 last me up to whole day of SOT, this one last beyond the 3/4 of a day.
using quick charging powerbank will do the trick

what's iPhone 11 perfect for?
it is perfect for TRAVEL. the ultrawide camera and night mode is such a treat when traveling and of course that superb battery life, you can squeeze more locations in a day.

since there's a pandemic, so travel is limited, wont maximize iPhone 11 features.

Interesting I understand your reasons. I get bothered by the mask issue but then again I some wear a mask in my office unless someone walks in.

I personally couldn't go back to an older phone model...of which the reasons have nothing to do with bezels.

- the better cameras on the newer models are important to me
- battery life is much improved on the newer models
- gloves don't work with touch id and it depends on your individual use case as to if one wears masks and / or gloves
- the convenience of face id when I don't have a mask on, eclipses the convenience of touch id when I may be wearing a mask and gloves.

removing and putting back the mask or touching it all the time isnt sanitary.

once removed you have to throw it away.

yeah it depends on the job too, if it's just a desk job sitting down inside the office faceID isnt a problem

but if you do go visit places it does.

so far 7 plus seems a snappy fone despite being nearing 5 years old

yeah when travel for leisure is allowed again, will definitely get the newest iPhone, nightmode and ultrawide is really a must.

faceID and touchID both have pros and cons, would love to have both of them

for now the touchID seems better, until masks is mandatory.

Surprised you didn't get the 8 Plus so you could still have wireless charging.

the 8 plus is more than 200g, which is even heavier than the 11, big reason why I prefer the 7 plus, especially using it without a case at home for long term usage (social media/digital marketing) such a relief for the hand.
