Very interesting. The review itself is very positive. However, the nonstick area with the bubbles would be a deal breaker for me.

More than likely a rushed install for the review.

Kristin's went on perfectly. She also removed it and installed it on another phone in her video review here:

I just saw this youtube video of someone else with a CINDER, and the phone seems to have some major bubbles near the top left and right corner.

hmmm...

I wonder if this Cinder sample is from one of the earlier batches where some of them had adhesive issues? That's what it looks like to me. That, or the guy isn't that good at installing screen protectors!

I hope they are able to get their quality issues worked out before they go to full production. If I remember correctly the first protector they sent Kristen had adhesive problems and the next was sent to her actually already preinstalled on a phone. Then the latest review with the video from Kristen shows a screen protector that everyone is wishing for. The worst thing for a customer is to get excited about a screen protector and have the install not adhere properly. I've never had that happen on an initial install but have had it happen when lifting up a protector with my thumb nail to reposition.

You are absolutely right about the initial adhesive issues. However, this was supposedly an issue with some of the samples in the early batches and it has been fixed. The one that they sent me that was pre-installed on their iPhone 6 did not have any adhesive issues. It was installed perfectly on the iPhone 6 they sent me--I then took it off and reinstalled it in my initial review video and the reinstall was basically flawless. Then, in a separate video, I removed the same Cinder screen protector from the iPhone they sent me and installed it on my daughter's iPhone 6. Again, no problems with the adhesive. She's been using the Cinder on her iPhone 6 since May 7, when I installed it in the video, and it is working really well for her. Now, will they get everything right for their final production run? I certainly hope so! I think that is the point of all the various pre-production test samples--to get the product working right--and they seem to have finally gotten all the kinks worked out, if the sample they sent me preinstalled on their iPhone 6 is any indication.

Next will be the washability test. They say they'll send me out a sample to test in a week or so--I'm very curious to see how that will work.

I hope that they do come out with the holy grail screen protectors in their final production. Then I hope that the 6 S model phones keep the same screen shape so that the Cinder will have a run at the next model also and be able to make some money back before having to go straight into a new design. Usually the S models are pretty much the same on the outside but who knows - Apple likes to keep us guessing.

By the way - love your video reviews!

Thanks so much--that's very nice to hear!

I'm afraid it will be a 6 Plus or nothing. I returned their iPhone 6 and my daughter is happy with her Cinder install and is unwilling to submit to further screen protector experimentation:), so I can't exactly test anything but a 6 Plus.

Great reviews, absolutely cannot wait until this comes out. Do you know if it's compatible with the Apple leather cases? Could you list which cases are compatible and are not compatible with it so we can compare our cases with that list to have a decent expectation as to whether or not they'd work?
Thanks so much.

For the latest up to date list of compatible cases, I'd email sales@cupert.com. The only cases I was able to test on my daughter's iPhone 6 with the Cinder installed were the Magpul Field Case and the Thule Atmos X3, and both fit just fine.
If I review a sample for the 6 Plus later, I'll be able to test it with a lot more cases as I have quite a few cases for the 6 Plus:)

I think if you have questions about the Cinder screen protector for Cupert Tech, you can email them at sales@cupert.com. Thanks!

Since I came across your You Tube review of Cinder (love all your videos by the way), I've been searching around trying to find info on case compatibility. So when i saw this post I thought "that's a good idea" and e-mailed Cupert asking if they had a list of compatible cases. What I got back was "My best advise is either the silicone or leather case from Apple. I haven't tried any better." So now we know :)

I wish:) His videos are awesome. I am Tech Reviewer:

I was an early reviewer of the Cinder:)

Thanks for the review.

I did have a question though. I have not used a full screen glass screen protector before and have the Apple Smart Case for my iPhone 6. Do you know if the glass screen protector can be used with the case or does the edge to edge design mean you can't use the Apple Smart Case with it?

Hi! I thought I'd put all the review links for my Cinder reviews in one place. Once I got this last sample, I was very impressed with the performance of the Cinder. Excellent product--really lovely curved edges and very thin.

[doublepost=1456160480][/doublepost]I supported Cinder on Indiegogo very early on, I ordered two iPhone plus Cinders. I have not received either, and all my emails to "Cupert Support" has been ignored. I feel totally scammed. DON'T BUY THE CINDER - IT IS A TOTAL SCAM !

Here's my results on a retail Cinder received last week = Complete Garbage.
Cinder Customer Service = Complete Garbage. (maybe I received a defective unit?)

Wow. As I said in your other post, that is just awful looking. I have installed the Cinder 3 times, and have never had anything remotely resembling this kind of issue. The very first install I did, with a beta version of the Cinder, was tougher to remove bubbles from, but they fixed their adhesive after that, and I never had any problems after that. All I can think is that your phone was either oily somehow, impeding proper adhesion, or there was something very defective about the Cinder you received.

Did you send these pictures to Cupert, and if so, what was their response?

Kristin

No, the phone was 100% clean. I've emailed everything to Cupert with no response at all.
I must have received a defective unit.

Still zero contact from Cupert. Their phone number is also a fraud, it's a Google Voice number and nobody will ever call you back.

I would avoid Cupert Technologies at all costs.

Here's the final product after putting it back on it's plastic backer. It snapped in half easier then a thin potato chip. Gorilla Glass, I don't think so.

the real "gorilla" glass are made by Corning, and only iMos tempered glass screen protector are made from Corning gorilla glass
there's some "Debate" about this last few month in this forum somewhere, especially about 1 brand that claimed that their glass is real gorilla glass but got sued and warned by Corning so they have to eleminate the "gorilla glass " fetures from all of their product.

I think you want to say Cinder, and no they didn't said they removed any "gorilla glass" features , just the branding on the package."

Also, I don't understand why all the hate on the Cinder glass. Maybe their customer service is non-existence but the glass itself is the best that I've used and I've used many many different ones.

Sorry but this looks more like user error, maybe you didn't push all the bubbles out because no matter what cheap glass you bought, none would looked like that after installed. Maybe some bubbles on the edge but nothing like that.
